After picking up shoulder/rotator pain last week, I still showed up to the gym. I trained smarter ā lower weights, higher reps. I donāt believe in completely stopping movement unless itās truly serious (Iām not a doctor, and Iāll wait for @Darren Liu to advise), but for me itās about adapting, not quitting. Todayās session: ⢠Shoulder press ā 10kg ⢠Lat pulldowns ā worked up to 65kg (starting at 20kg and building up) ⢠Barbell back squats ā 10kg with a neck cushion ⢠Goblet squats ⢠Air bike ⢠SkiErg ⢠Double planks ⢠Mountain climbers Physio on Saturday, but Iām proud I didnāt give in to that voice that said, āItās cold, your shoulder hurts, stay home.ā Progress isnāt about being pain-free or perfect ā itās about being willing to adjust and still show up. ⨠What would change for you if you chose progress over excuses today?
