Adapt....don't quit!
After picking up shoulder/rotator pain last week, I still showed up to the gym. I trained smarter — lower weights, higher reps. I don’t believe in completely stopping movement unless it’s truly serious (I’m not a doctor, and I’ll wait for @Darren Liu to advise), but for me it’s about adapting, not quitting. Today’s session: • Shoulder press – 10kg • Lat pulldowns – worked up to 65kg (starting at 20kg and building up) • Barbell back squats – 10kg with a neck cushion • Goblet squats • Air bike • SkiErg • Double planks • Mountain climbers Physio on Saturday, but I’m proud I didn’t give in to that voice that said, “It’s cold, your shoulder hurts, stay home.” Progress isn’t about being pain-free or perfect — it’s about being willing to adjust and still show up. ✨ What would change for you if you chose progress over excuses today?

@Usra Shah awesome job for pushing through and being consistent. If I have “discomfort” from a certain area I definitely will modify the workout and not aggravate. If you’re in pain I would see a specialist for further evaluation. I wouldn’t put it off too long and recovery may take longer. You have good judgement so listen to your body.
Costco for the win🥇🍎
Turns out my Costco sells Envy apples! It was a super successful trip and considering I am currently a stay-at-home mom I have to take whatever success I can get and congrate myself. Today it's finding these apples and filling the fridge with (mostly) nutritious goodies. Also with prepared meals that I only have to put into the oven so no one is in danger of my cooking.🫣

@Sandra Müller Envy apples a few of us never tried. Coach @Darren Liu shared his favorite is Envy Apple because of the sweetness, crisp, crunch, and doesn’t taste chalky. So we got curious and went looking for them. I use to love gala apples but now I tried envy apples it taste much better.

💬 Post-Q&A Reality Check (aka: Dropping the Social Eating Bomb 💣😂)
After my LIVE Q&A call with Coach Darren, I shared our convo with my partner—and let’s just say… it got real, real quick 😅 I started with: “Coach Darren answered my question on the LIVE Q&A and said I already have a head start going into the F45 6-week challenge with everything I’m already doing.” Since it’s only 6 weeks, my goal isn’t to burn myself out—but to challenge myself and maximize fat loss while keeping muscle. His advice? 👉 Don’t overcomplicate it. 👉 Keep doing what I’m already doing. 👉 Add more steps. Then came the 💣 Coach Darren also suggested cutting back on social meals to get better results. So I told my partner: “I’ll make ONE exception—the steakhouse in February for your birthday 🥩🎂. Other than that, I’m politely declining social eating until the challenge is done.” He looked at me, paused… and said: “That’s fine. I’m a little sad you won’t participate, BUT it also puts my butt in line to be successful since my social-eating buddy is going on another crazy challenge 😂.” 🏆 Teamwork looks different sometimes—but support is support ❤️ Six weeks of focus, clear boundaries, and a supportive partner = unlocked Let’s go 🔓🔥💪

@Sandra Müller I have been challenged with him and now he comes to realization and understanding how serious I take my fitness journey. Leading by examples and he is following slowly. I am hopeful he stick to it and be consistent.

🔥 Friday Night Plot Twist = WIN 🔥
Since I’ve got Galentine’s with my girls this Friday 💃, my partner called up one of his buddies for a guys’ night. Next thing I know… 👉 His friend invites him to work out as a guest at his gym 👉 Then Mediterranean food after 👉 AND says: “Yo maaannn, you’ve been under a lot of stress at work. After the workout we can hit the sauna/steam room and just chill, bro.” 🚨 BREAKING NEWS ALERT: He said YES. YES… to a Friday night workout. On a FRI-YAY. I stayed calm on the outside 😌 But on the inside I was like: OH SH*T. IS THIS REAL LIFE?! I told him how proud I was—for choosing movement, stress relief, and showing up for himself while spending quality time with his buddy. For those who know me, you know it hasn’t always been easy. But moments like this remind me that growth doesn’t have to be loud—it just has to be real. ✨ There is light at the end of the tunnel… and it’s looking REAL good. ✨

Respect for the Cold-Climate Crew
Woke up today with a newfound appreciation for those of you who live in cold climates. After three straight days of freezing temperatures here in Florida…and when I say freezing, I mean 25°F - 31F° (-3°C) I am officially humbled. We are not built for anything below 60 for extended periods of time. All of my plants look absolutely terrible. Some have literally turned black, which is kind of depressing to see. It makes you realize how much weather affects not just our routines, but our environment and mood too. I genuinely don’t know how you all do this for months at a time. I would want to stay indoors, under covers, and not move. So truly…kudos to everyone who wakes up in this kind of weather, gets dressed, goes to work, lives life, and somehow still makes it to the gym. That alone deserves an award. Respect. ❄️💪
