Tracking Is a Skill — Give Yourself Grace
One thing I want to share with everyone in this 6-week challenge at my F45 Studio as we’re learning to track our meals… Tracking might look easy for me, but that’s only because I’ve been doing it for over a year now and honestly, I’m still learning. It didn’t become second nature overnight. For those who are new and feeling frustrated with logging, weighing food, or figuring out what to enter in MFP… that feeling is completely normal. Tracking is a skill, just like learning a new exercise in the gym. The first few weeks can feel confusing and even a little annoying. But here’s the mindset shift that helped me: Tracking isn’t about being perfect. It’s about learning and building awareness. Some days your entries might not be exact. Some meals might be estimates. Social meals might feel harder to log. That’s okay. Even imperfect tracking still gives you valuable data and helps you understand your habits better. The goal isn’t perfect numbers — the goal is progress and awareness. If you stick with it long enough, you’ll look back a year from now and realize how much easier it becomes. Keep showing up, keep logging, and give yourself grace while you’re learning. 💪
