Hi All. My name is Jorge (George is ok if your R’s can’t roll 😁). I am a soon to be 41 year old Peruvian who grew up in New Jersey and is recently married with a newly teenage niece in my life as well. I’ve always been in and out of working out but recently I’ve included it into my life in a bigger way. Im learning to be a personal trainer and my main objective here is to how to grow and embrace my quiet workouts into something I can express more fully in my day to day. Im hoping to engage and learn how to navigate these waters. Below is a pic of my current progress. My hope is to be a happy camper around 10%-15% bf for the rest of my years. Hoping to be able to post more throughout my time here!. 🏋🏽♂️ Also: last meal Apollo à la Brasa with my wife’s Mac and cheese 😋
Back at the hospital with my mom. Luckily it does not seem to be related to her heart this time and the pacemaker is still doing its thing. She is having severe abdominal pain and weakness. Today is her 70th birthday and my sister and I took her for a girl's trip. We had lunch and had just started shopping at a little village of shops she likes in Lancaster, and she was fine one minute and we were calling 911 the next. I've been thinking a lot about my parents' health lately as they get older, and I can't help but feel so glad that I'm taking care of myself now for the sake of my future self and my family. I don't have all the right words right now to explain how I'm feeling but I'm just really grateful that I found Darren and this community and made the decision to commit to my health. If you pray, please pray for my mom. She's in a lot of pain right now waiting for further testing. Love you all🖤
Sometimes I get so caught up chasing the next goal that I forget to look back at how far I've come. So here's to June...🥹 and in true Usra style fashionably late 😅 💚 New low weight. 📏 More centimetres lost. 💪 New workout phase (that I was convinced I'd hate...I didn't 😂). 🏋️♀️ Conquered the Smith machine. 🦵 Survived Bulgarian split squats 🏊♀️ Fell back in love with swimming. 🎾 Played tennis with my family for 30 minutes straight (never been able to do that!) 🥩 Stayed consistent with protein and nutrition. 📱 Tracked every meal. 👟 Kept moving, even when I REALLY didn't want to. 🧘♀️ Mobility, steps and habits all stayed on track. But my biggest win?..... My mindset. I've stopped waiting to feel motivated and started showing up anyway. I'm slowly learning that consistency beats perfection every single time. ✨ My motto: "Show up. Stay consistent. Trust the process." ✨ Here's to becoming stronger...physically, mentally and emotionally. July.....onwards and upwards. ❤️💪
@Usra Shah wow such a great vibe and love your post.. definitely have a good mindset is a game changer. Not only you prioritize your training and doing other activities, but also your mind is in the right path. Glad you had a great June and for sure July is waiting for you 🫶💪
Hi everyone, Nancy here coming from San Antonio, Texas for now. Looking to continue my fitness journey as I get closer to 50 and lose that stubborn mid section fat. I made too many excuses the last 6 years and it caught up with me. My last meal would be carne asada mini tacos (usually served 5 with double tortilla).
I´m stress eating🫣 I know this is not the place, but if anyone has an advice on how to land a good job, remote would be ideal, please let me know, been unemployed for a year now, and I haven't been able to find a new job 🥲
@Haydee Rodriguez welcome to the community ☺️ Stress eating is not easy and lot of us been through this, but you will find support here and we will try to help in what we can. Sorry to hear you are getting through a rough time right now. Hope you find your way to get a job and turn that chapter around. Rooting for you 💪
