After picking up shoulder/rotator pain last week, I still showed up to the gym. I trained smarter — lower weights, higher reps. I don’t believe in completely stopping movement unless it’s truly serious (I’m not a doctor, and I’ll wait for to advise), but for me it’s about adapting, not quitting. Today’s session:
• Shoulder press – 10kg
• Lat pulldowns – worked up to 65kg (starting at 20kg and building up)
• Barbell back squats – 10kg with a neck cushion
• Goblet squats
• Air bike
• SkiErg
• Double planks
• Mountain climbers
Physio on Saturday, but I’m proud I didn’t give in to that voice that said, “It’s cold, your shoulder hurts, stay home.”
Progress isn’t about being pain-free or perfect — it’s about being willing to adjust and still show up.
