Woke up in an awful mood this morning but decided to get a major item on my list done. It took me all day and several breaks but it is done and it looks great. In case your wondering what it was… I decided to clean our white sectional couch. Looks brand new again. I’m so sore from all the pushing and pulling and scrubbing but I’m glad to have it done.

📅 Daily Check-in - July 18, 2026 💭 Reflection: "This morning, I'm in a much better place mentally. This is something i usually tell myself when feeling down or depressed at night is that tomorrow's a new day, things will be better in the morning. Things at least don't feel as bad with a new dawn and a new day ahead. I got to bed about 2 hours late. I believe it was my sadness over the grandkids. When I did sleep, I slept well. Today is a reunion for my younger son's homeschool co-op that he and I are going to. We will both see lots of old friends. Should be a great day, good way to nourish the soul. ADHD awakening assessment
Just completed the ADHD Awakening Assessment, and one realisation floored me. For years I told myself "I get bored and quit everything." But my own words proved the opposite - I finish anything that's mine and that I can watch grow from nothing into something good. I don't quit. I come alive under the right conditions. And that dream of a rescue home for mistreated animals? Turns out it ticks every one of them.
