So I got a Byredo Discovery set for Xmas from my wife and it came with a Time sensitive discount code. So since she got it for me ahead of time, I'm almost out of time to make a decision and I am torn because my personal favorite smells a lot like a specific Smoky Fruity oakmoss combo that I make no pretense at absolutely being my top two DNAs. However, as a result, I have both the OG and many variants already in my collection at all different price points. As such, I think she would prefer if I didn't just get something that smelled like something else, even though this something that instantly hit. So I thought I would ask the Brain trust which you might recommend. Of the ones I have tried Biblioteque smelled more like the bookstore than the books and reminds me of the local crystal and spiritual bookstores that were common when I was younger so actually works better to my nose on her. MojaveDesert might just be more of a spring summer and a bit 'lighter' than I am vibing on currently. I did like Black slSaffron quite a bit, but it's an interesting fragrance. Different scent profiles off of pulse points which really pushes the rinddly leathery animalic notes versus the chest or clothing that holds the sweeter black violet notes. Does anyone have experience with gypsy water or bal aafrique? Are they safe blind buys? Any other ones you'd recommend? Thanks in advance 🙏🏼
