Well, I just got back from the local pharmacy big sale, and here are my finds: * Lattafa: Dynasty - $20 (This is an original creation by perfumer Alex Lee) People compare it with other of his creations, Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Infusion, but it’s not a clone of it. It might just have some similarities, as it happens with many performers different creations. This one was on my wishlist! ✅ * Lattafa: Asad - $20 (An alternative to Dior Sauvage Elixir) I bought this one before at Burlington when it was a trend and I returned it. I felt it was too powdery to my nose at the time out of testing it on my arm. But only after I got the OG and I gave it a full wear, I understood and appreciated the DNA, so now I can have this back to my collection. This one smells way better the first one I bought. It’s a batch from 11/2024, it might have matured a bit more. * Afnan: Rear Carbon - $15 (An alternative to Tom Ford Ombre Leather) I never bought it before because I have several fragrances with this DNA. But this one is really good, and at this price, I just can’t helped to get it. I’m so happy with these finds, I can’t wait to wear them.

The third and perhaps best in the Asad line up. Released in 2025, Asad Bourbon is a rich, gourmand leaning evolution of the famous Lattafa Asad line. For me it's so much better than the Zanzibar. While the original Asad is known as a sharp clone of Dior Sauvage Elixir, Asad Bourbon pivots toward a smoother, boozier, sweeter profile that feels more like a niche winter fragrance. The fragrance opens with a unique fruity-spicy kick and settles into a creamy, dark chocolate-like drydown. The fragrance starts with a noticeable purple fruity vibe thanks to the Mirabelle plum. Unlike the sharp citrus or heavy spice of the original Asad, this is softer &sweeter. The Pink pepper adds a touch of dry heat, while the Lavender keeps it from being cloying, providing a clean, aromatic backbone. As it settles, the gourmand elements take over. The Cacao isn't a chocolate scent; it's more of a dusty, dark cocoa powder. This is paired with Davana & Nutmeg, giving the middle a rich, warmth that feels more expensive than its price tag. This is where the Bourbon in the name truly shines. The Bourbon Vanilla is thick & creamy, leaning into a boozy, aged-cask vibe without actually containing an alcohol note. Amber gives it a golden, resinous glow, while vetiver finishes things off with a faint smoky/woodiness to ensure the scent stays masculine and grounded. Performance is actually not bad, I'm getting 7hrs on skin. It clings exceptionally well to clothes, where the boozy vanilla notes can linger for days. Projection is strong for the first 2–3hrs. It creates a noticeable scent bubble without being as suffocating as the original or Elixir profiles can be. This will serve you best during Autumn, Winter, and Evening wear. It is a top-tier choice for date nights or formal winter events. If you find the original Asad too "spicy" or "aggressive" and want something more cozy & inviting, then Bourbon is a great option. Reunited! Fresh out of the mailbox 📬 is the well know Cedrat Boise. I've only owned a decant of this after all of these years. I've even purchased a bottle as a gift for my old boss. I had to finally snatch this up for myself. This is the scent I was wearing when i received my biggest unsolicited compliment from a stranger and that moment has stuck with me. This classic has citruses black currant and spices in the opening..fruity notes, patchouli leaf and water jasmine in the mid...cedar, leather, sandalwood,vanilla white musk and Moss in the base. Known as a competitor to Creed's Aventus but I do not find them similar or redundant. Owning both is a great idea. Not known as a leather fragrance but I get the leather in here and it's as close as I'll get to enjoying a leather fragrance (I'm not a fan of leather fragrances). If you've never smelled this try it please and if you have share your opinion.

Last time I broke this out was the 4 Nations Championship last year, so I thought It would be a good idea to rock it today for the National Championships🙏 Another blinder from perfumer Sonia Constant, released in 2021. Im going deeper & deeper into leather notes latley after getting the edp version to do some comparisoons I thought Id have too get this as well to make an informed desision. Both are gorgeously done. Leather can be a difficult raw material to work with. We dont have a natural leather note. So it needs to be created by using various raw materials such as Birch Tar, Styra, Castoreum, Labdanum, or even Synth Isoquinolines. It can turn out really bad or in ths case really good. The parfum is an intensified version of the original Ombré Leather edp, but its different, this is a more refined type of leather, neither better nor worse, just different. Here's a breakdown, Up top you got Black leather & a Violet leaf absolute Orpur. At the heart its rocking Jasmine Sambac absolute India orpur & a double concentration of Orris heart. At its base, Cedarwood, Green Tobacco, Woody notes. The fact that she spent 25 years as a Givaudan perfumer explains the use of the Ophur Materials. I was shocked to see what she has created, having worked for many top designer labels. I really like this scent, its a modern master piece, I put one spritz on the back of my hand the night I got it and it was still on my skin the next day. Performance is as close to 24 hours as Ive ever seen, projection is a solid 4 to 5hrs. Best suited for the colder days and Powerlifting Competitions.
