DesirToxic / M. Micallef — in the mood for something green and woody today

This sounds very crazy but I have hired a Master Perfumer & this is going to be an exciting journey !!

This one has impressed me. It has some resemblances with YSL Y EDP. Opens very fresh, aromatic and green. As it dries down it darkens a bit giving a more rich and deep aroma that comes across more aquatic and earthy without loosing its freshness. It’s very easy to wear and to like, perfect for the heat, but very versatile to use on any season or occasion. It has average protection and longevity 6hrs+. This one gives a lot of bang for your buck.

Match #19 in my 40-fragrance tournament turned out to be one of the easiest decisions yet. It paired the #10 seed Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum against the #23 seed Versace Eros Eau de Toilette. Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum (2022, created by Quentin Bisch) has earned a loyal following for its distinctive blend of marine notes, leather, patchouli, and woods. I can certainly appreciate what it's trying to do, and I understand why so many people enjoy it. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work for me. There's something in the composition that consistently makes me feel a little nauseated, and no matter how many chances I give it, I can't get past that reaction. Sometimes a fragrance simply doesn't agree with your nose, and this is one of those cases. Versace Eros Eau de Toilette (2012, created by Aurélien Guichard) may not be the most complex fragrance in my collection, but it's undeniably enjoyable. The combination of mint, green apple, lemon, vanilla, and cedar is energetic, approachable, and easy to wear. This wasn't much of a contest. Eros may be good rather than spectacular, but it's a fragrance I actually look forward to wearing. That makes today's decision an easy one. Versace Eros EDT advances to the next round, while Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum drops into the loser's bracket.

So I just saw Antonio's last video, and it got me thinking. If I had to downsize to 10 bottles what would they be. I'm curious what are your thoughts on this and what bottles would you keep?
