So I gave in to the hype and ordered a few travel sizes from the new House of Cosmo that arrived last month. I liked Polaris so much I went ahead and ordered a bottle - and here we are a month later and my bottle arrived. Polaris comes in a Smokey gray bottle, click cap but the presentation box seems to have a magnetic closure (the interesting to give the box and not the bottle a magnet, but whatever). I got two free sample sizes with the order. Since these literally just came off the line I’m going to let them macerate for a bit but I’m excited to add Polaris to my year-round roster.

I have a 5ml sample of Swiss Arabian Incense 01 and after two days of wear, this is my review… When this opens it immediately sets a dark, resinous tone - frankincense rises first, smoky and slightly citrus-tinged, wrapped in a flash of bergamot that keeps it from feeling too heavy. There’s a subtle touch of rum and juniper in the mix that adds a boozy sparkle, almost like incense smoke drifting through a glass of spiced gin. It’s bold, atmospheric and instantly attention-grabbing. As it moves into the heart, things get more interesting. Fig steps in with a creamy, slightly green sweetness, while roasted nuts and almond add a toasted warmth that softens the smoke. This is where the fragrance becomes addictive — the incense is still present, but now it’s layered with a gourmand edge that feels rich without turning syrupy. The nuttiness gives depth and texture, stopping the sweetness from overpowering the composition. In the base, dark chocolate, vanilla, sandalwood, cedarwood and moss take over. The smokiness smooths out into something creamy and resinous, with the chocolate and vanilla adding a subtle sweetness that lingers on the skin. The sandalwood and cedar provide structure, while the moss keeps it grounded and slightly earthy. The dry down feels luxurious, warm and quietly seductive. Performance is strong. I got 8+ hours easily, with noticeable projection for the first couple of hours before settling into a dense, personal scent bubble. It leaves a rich, smoky-sweet trail that doesn’t go unnoticed. This isn’t a safe office scent — it’s more a statement fragrance. Best suited for evenings, cooler weather and occasions where you want depth and presence. This feels opulent, slightly mysterious and confidently bold, blending smoky resins with creamy sweetness in a way that feels both niche and wearable. Overall rating: 8.9/10 Would I purchase a full bottle? With payday approaching, that likely answers the question. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I do, as incense is not typically a note I gravitate toward. However, it’s far more refined and balanced than the bottle name might suggest — the incense is present, but it doesn’t dominate. Instead, it’s smoothly integrated into the composition, adding depth and character without overwhelming the wearer.

Without a doubt this gotta be the best bang for your buck winter fragrance in the Amraf line up. It's certainly the only Odyssey flanker that Took my fancy, & I've had my nose on most of them. Hate to throw it into the clone pile but imagine this? Tom Ford's Noir Extreme went on a night out & did some horizontal DNA swapping with that good looking bottle of La Nuit de L'Homme. This would be the result of that thrist. The scent profile is a journey from a dense, sweet opening to a creamy, woody dry-down. With top notes of Ambergris & Vanilla, you get a rich, warm, slightly salty sweetness. It hits the nose with a thick airiness rather than a sharp citrus burst. At its core Iris, Oriental Notes & Spices This is the soul of the fragrance. The iris adds a powdery, lipstick like elegance, similar to Dior Homme. Whilst the spices mimic a warm chai latte. As it settles into the drydown with more Vanilla, Leather & Jasmine. The leather adds a masculine edge to the base, while the vanilla rounds everything out into a smooth & creamy finish. This performers reasonably well, with 6hrs on my skin, I'm not complaining.On clothes, the vanilla and amber base notes can linger for days. It projects well for the first 1.5 to 2 hours. It creates a noticeable scent bubble without being too cloy or overbearing, making it ideal for date nights or formal evening events. Strictly for Autumn or Winter use. If you love the warm, spicy, and powdery DNA of high end designer scents but don't want to drop €€€ Odyssey Black is a top-tier alternative. It smells more expensive than it is.
