Aromatix By French Avenue Reviews…
I’ve now completed adding all ten Aromatix releases by French Avenue to my collection — each one created in collaboration with fragrance content creator Neeb from Aromatix. Over the coming days, I’ll be posting one review each day of each fragrance, ranking them from my least favourite to my current favourite. I’ve got a couple more reviews to publish first, then I’ll be diving straight into the Aromatix lineup. There’s been a backlog to get through, but i’m getting there…

@Jonathan Ventura thank you, pity no space on my stand for the 10th bottle but I’m happy with it

SOTD: YSL MYSLF EDP
Keeping it simple today, the sun is shining so gone with this easy grab, fresh, versatile, mass appealing scent! Really enjoy this line, looking forward to the Myslf Intense when that’s released, it’s been a great line so far, hopefully that won’t let the side down, I don’t think it will though!

@Edward Mooney that’s my favourite too in the line admittedly, I like them all, they all serve different purposes for me and then on top I’ve received lots of compliments with each one.

SOTD: MYSLF edp by Yves Saint Laurent 10/03/2026
Released in late 2023, YSL MYSLF Eau de Parfum has quickly established itself as a modern staple in the Blue fragrance category, though it takes a notable detour into floral territory. I avoided it for a while due to it popularity with teens, but once I got my nose on it, it's extremely mass appealing. It was created by perfumers Christophe Raynaud, Antoine Maisondieu & Daniela Andrier. It’s a clean, versatile, enjoyable scent that trades the aggressive spice of competitors for a smoother, more refined elegance. Id consider it a floral/woody scent, but there is also a touch of fresh/spice to it. Built on a minimalist structure, it's said to focus on high quality ingredients rather than a complex list of notes. The opening hits with a very bright, sparkling Calabrian Bergamot. This is highdefinition & soapy clean, similar to the vibe of fresh laundry or an expensive white shirt. At its core you find the star of the show. It features a prominent Tunisian Orange Blossom. While floral, it is blended in a way that feels masculine & solar rather than powdery or feminine. The base is anchored by Ambrofix (a modern, clean amber) paired with Indonesian Patchouli. This provides a woody depth that keeps the fragrance grounded. Performance here is rather good, I get a little over the 6hr mark on skin, obviously when it transfers to clothing this increases. Projection is as you would expect for this type of fragrance, it's moderate. You get a good hit around 2hrs before it settles close to the skin. It leaves clean, pleasant trail that isn't overwhelming in small rooms. The his a versatile scent thar can be dressed up or down & will serve you well in most conditions, though it shines brightest in Spring and Summer due to the citrus and floral uplift. My Rating 8/10 Scent 2.5 Longevity 2.5 Sillage 2 Y/N 1

Love the myslf line! Great review!
SOTD/Review: Rayhaan Aquatica
Inspired by: Creed Virgin Island Water The opening off the first spray is bright and refreshing with heavy lime, bergamot and mandarin, delivering a crisp citrus burst that feels vibrant and uplifting. Running through the citrus is a smooth coconut milk note that gives the fragrance a creamy, sun-lotion style freshness rather than a sharp aquatic blast, making it feel relaxed and summery straight away. As it settles, the scent becomes softer and slightly sweeter with sugar cane and jasmine adding a gentle tropical sweetness that keeps the fragrance airy and light rather than overly floral. The sugar cane brings a subtle syrupy warmth that blends beautifully with the coconut, creating that laid-back island feel. In the dry down, rum, tonka bean and musk add a warm, slightly boozy smoothness that sits comfortably on the skin, with the musk keeping everything clean and wearable while the tonka adds a soft creamy sweetness that lingers. Performance is solid for this style of fragrance, generally giving me 6–8 hours with moderate projection, leaving a fresh tropical trail that feels easygoing and uplifting, perfect for warm weather, holidays or casual daytime wear. Overall rating: 9.0/10 Admittedly I haven’t tried the OG as of yet - but in research Aquatica is supposedly 70-80% similar to the OG in opening with the Aquatica being much more lime heavy and sharper but as it dries down it’s 85-95% similar with main differences being Aquatica has a more dominant lime and VIW is more noticeable with the rum and creamy coconut. Sounds right up my alley and do still want to try the OG.

@Lon Chaneyfield Really, that’s a shame but it’s said that the Rayhaan has much better longevity & projection.
