Asad Elixir by Lattafa 06/12/2025
Been waiting a while to get my hands on this one. After all the hype And comparisons I finally picked up a bottle as a gift from my lil sis for my birthday. Said to be a cross between the OG Asad which was similar to Sauvage Elixir and boss Absolu. So When I first got my nose on it I was sadly disappinted. As it turns out the Boss comparision is not my much loved Absolu, but the now discontinued Boss Absolutley, which I never had the chance to try. Asad Elixir is an Oriental Spicy/Woody fragrance, it's a bold warm scent that starts with a lively, spicy burst, transitions into a smoky-sweet and woody heart, and settles into a rich, deep, and resinous amber base. It is an excellent fragrance for the cooler months. With top notes of Grapefruit, Pink Pepper and Saffron, it opens up with a bright, sparkling, and spicy opening with a subtle warmth and a metallic/leathery touch from the saffron. The heart introduces a sophisticated, masculine core of dry wood/Cedarwood and rich tobacco, softened by a creamy, sensual vanilla. Base notes of Frankincense, Patchouli, Cashmeran and Dry Amber blend together to create a dry down that is deep and long lasting. Frankincense and dry amber create a smoky, resinous warmth, while patchouli adds an earthy depth. For me the elixir is less of a direct Dior clone and more as its own smoky, sweet, and woody creation. Performance here is super good, easily giving 8-10+ hours on the skin.It is also a strong projector, leaving a noticeable and magnetic scent trail. Its warm, spicy, and smoky nature is perfectly suited for cold weather. It's versatile enough for both everyday use in the colder months and evening/special occasions where you want to make a statement. Its bold profile makes it an excellent choice for a date night or formal event. if you enjoy intense, warm, smoky-sweet, and woody fragrances and are looking for a "beast mode" performer. Try before you buy if you are sensitive to heavy incense or spice notes.

I will probably buy this as I enjoyed the sample, smelt much better than its OG to me, wasn’t a fan of that at all.

@Edward Mooney the only one of the line I haven’t tried, I’ve heard more bad than good so it’s put me off slightly.
Surprise for the Wifey..
Got this for her because she cares more about the bottles than the scents.. plus it’s pink and she loves to clean a lot.. it is symbolic.. needless to say.. she loved it.. I have the gold bottle for my collection but they’re both for ladies..

Is that a sly way of hinting that the cleaning needs doing whilst being nice at the same time 🤣
Sotd- Gucci Guilty Absolu de Parfum
I was in the mood for some orange blossom and it was between this and love edition. The first time I really liked the scent but it just didn’t last. Today ill see how the performance is but as someone who haven’t tried GG elixir on skin, this is my fav gucci guilty flanker. So much depth on this one

SOTD - Tumi 19 Degree
The bottle was calling my name this morning, but I remembered I still had a sample to slay so I grabbed that. 19 Degree opens up with a prominent Thyme and Bergamot that lasts a few hours. As it starts to dry down, the raspberry and suede start to warm up, eventually settling into a nice leather and sandalwood base. Very enjoyable, non-linear scent. Longevity is good, typically lasting 7-8 hours. And you have to love the unique bottle and locking cap design, very substantial! Enjoy your day brothers.

One that I’ve always wanted to try, the Tumis can be found here but this one is like trying to find a needle in a haystack in the UK
Gift of Appreciation
When I got back to the house I found this nice surprise in the mail. Thank you @Antonio Centeno for the card and challenge coin, and also continuing to be a leader off the battlefield in the civilian community. I’ve grown to enjoy this brotherhood immensely. I value having men to discuss the hobby with, to learn and grow not only in fragrance but in how we conduct ourselves with others. Much gratitude!
