Thoughts and Recommendations on Zarahoff
So I had never given to the hype on this house and never tried it. I did let someone I trust further influence me not to try it. But recently I got a fantastic deal on the second hand market and the fragrance I got I really like it. The lesson I learned in that though I heavily respect an opinion I have to always think for myself and try things even though others may be critical or not like it. So brothers and sisters let me hear your thoughts and recommendations on this house. So Far I have Seamless Soul.

am i in love? SOTD- eden-roc by maison christian dior
decided to make use of my new samples from dior’s privee collection, and on a hot, sunny sunday ultimately went with Eden-Roc. it was definitely careful thought and consideration that went into this. opening notes? i wasn’t sure. and then… it started to grow on me. i just wasn’t sure. i wasn’t sure about it on the strip in the store, and now on my skin? completely different story the opening is salty, fresh, citrusy and very mineral dominant with some fresh florals poking through from the base. it’s a salty ocean breeze in a bottle, but the drydown phase is when it started to grow on me. the heart notes are jasmine, coconut, and mastic resin. the coconut is more of a very slight accent, as it adds a sweetened, smooth bridge between the sharp bright florals and the earthiness of the mastic resin. the base notes are pine and labdanum. very fleeting but noticeable. i’ve always been iffy about pine scents, mainly because i find them harsh and medicinal when done poorly, but kept as a fresher, green accent notes, it’s actually quite nice and adds to the visuals of this scent, like an ocean breeze whistling through pine trees on top of white sea cliffs on a bright sunny day. performance is impossible to note. tiny sample sprayers are notoriously difficult to pinpoint performance because of how little they actually offer. projection was pretty solid on my skin for such a small amount. longevity around 5 hours. however i’d need to test a real bottle to fully grasp this. so my honest thoughts? i really love this. i could see this to be a fantastic layer with my favorite summer scent, neroli portofino as to add a saltier, woodier base to the sharp florals and hopefully increase longevity. had mixed feelings first, but i love salty, ocean floral scents like this one. definitely plan to get a larger decant now and see how it REALLY performs. have a blessed day yall

Roja Manhattan EDP ...a little disappointed
When I think Roja I think refined excellence. I think hours, months of time invested creating a masterpiece. As the first Roja fragrance that I've purchased I was relatively excited to get this in. Many of the offerings from the house often have so many notes in them that without sampling...it can be overwhelming deciphering what may actually appeal to you. This is a classic validating point of the importance of sampling first!! My blind buy success rate is very high since I generally have a keen ability to know what I like/would like. In this case this is a great fragrance don't get me wrong..... however if you own TF tobacco vanille or a great clone like Pandora Scents Charuto Tobacco vanille you'll find that the mid to dry down are almost identical. The opening reminds me of Mancera's Amber Fever and you'll find the florals used in both are exactly the same. The opening is very short lived here... I'd say 15 minutes max before it begins transitioning into the mid. So for a fraction of the price if you successfully layer Mancera Amber Fever with Tobacco Vanille( OG or Clone) you could practically replicate the scent profile of Manhattan by Roja. Not bad at all but I just expected more.
