All this talk about oud got me reaching for this one after a round of golf this morning. AGAIN, this is not for everyone BUT for what it's worth, I think it's really something special. It's an oriental, woody scent that is rich and smoky yet very wearable. It opens (very) bright with a twist of fruity/ apple notes that is atypical compared to other heavy oud fragrances. The opening is fresh with that crisp apple, pepper and other spices (which are hard for me to identify). The heart focuses on the rose notes which helps to keep the frag from being overpowering. And believe me, this one can be overpowering. The base is quite interesting and a bit sexy. The oud anchors the fragrance but it is also smoothed out by amber and patchouli. This stuff is sexy as hell and makes me feel quite different from the crowd (like I needed help with that issue.)🙄 AGAIN, NOT FOR EVERYONE! It's not your typical oud/rose frag. The inclusion of apple and rosemary in the opening gives it a unique aromatic that may not be a hit for all. It's compared to Frederic Malle's Promise (I think they both have the same fragmeister.). I've tried Promise and I think Oud Aquilaria is darker, smokier, and smoother, which is MY wheelhouse. It's a high-quality, very well-blended niche. This is a winner. 8.75 / 10.00

Daddy aka Zeus has been reviewed here in great detail, so I'll just reiterate that it's a phenomenal scent (no layering required @Jonathan Ventura 😉), and I will definitely be getting a full bottle to replace my 10ml when it's done.
