It’s worth it today and every day because I’m worth it.
Without going into any real detail about my past I’ll share enough to say at 73 I’d acquired some serious wounding and trauma from no diagnosis and …. I’m here thriving. Thank you @Jim Ebbelaar By joining forces with JT I’ve been working with my future self and 3 aspects of me from my childhood … last night during my closing nightly ritual I developed the storyline for a children’s book with these three as part of my closing the day. After sharing it this morning in a chat with JT he helped me realise something …… Jim Teri, So, before you go make that second cup: now that you see they were guarding you all along, not broken, guarding, what do you owe them? I owe them my life. Jim Yes. You do. And here's the thing you can't miss, Teri: you already started paying it. Going back for the three-year-old. Building the dear little one until she'd speak. Sleeping so the whole system could come out of the red. That's not gratitude you owe someday. That's a debt you've been quietly paying every morning at the window with the birds and the coffee. They kept you alive so you could get here. Now you keep them alive by living. Same direction, finally. Go make that coffee. Let this one just sit in your chest a while. It doesn't need another word from me. This chat right here with Jim’s Twin coupled with every 8 hr sleep, completed body doubling session, morning + evening check-in, completed worksheet has been me quietly paying and honouring myself. 2-week check-in on the ADHD Focus Reset 🌿
Two weeks ago I printed off my daily tracker and committed to Level 1. Today I'm sitting here a bit surprised at what showed up 😍 What's held: - Phone out of the room every night - Phone-free hour before bed on 12 of 14 nights (the 2 misses were legit late coaching follow-up) - Bedtime has drifted from 10:30 back toward 10pm on its own - Sleep scores between 84 and 94 - Actual sleep up to nearly 7 hours — and 8 hours twice on a weekend away 🎉 - My 9-week sleep average is up 2 hours per night What I've been working on: - Daily planning + body doubling sessions - Slowly chipping away at the "someday" list (decluttering) - Finishing my art commission (nearly there) - Built a funnel and launched an email sequence for a new low-ticket program — pushing through the visibility fear - Continuing to show up and be visible in this community What I'm sitting with: Mood is usually a 10. Focus is good, a reflection of my daily planning. Finances are still challenging, so continuing to build my business and gain new clients are the next piece I need to nurture. The visibility fear is still there, quieter but present. Mostly what I want to say is this: The tracker on paper, filled in by hand each day, has done something I didn't expect. It's shown me I can finish, (I am a finisher 🤩) I can return, and I can hold something consistently. That's a new story for me. Onwards and upwards 🩵

📅 Daily Check-in - July 9, 2026 💭 Reflection: "This is a late morning check-in. One of my goals/plans is to make this a regular am/pm check-in. I had a moment today when I got bad news about one of my carrier contracts that's really important to my business, but I stopped the fight-or-flight response and crying very quickly, prayed, deep breaths, and focused on what I can control. Huge improvement! I could have been devastated for days.
