Day 5
Today was supposed to be Day 5 where I post a picture and tell you what I am excited about. But nothing is ever convenient and goes as planned. I got up this morning and worked out per my usual routine and then headed to work. However, I found out that my 17 year old son crashed in his ski competition today and he had to go the med center. It was a rough day of trying work while waiting, anxiety, mom guilt for not being with my kid when he got hurt, and just general sadness. I eventually found out that he has a torn meniscus in his knee and is out for the rest of the ski season which is a total bummer. Anyway, the day was kind of a bust and I didn’t get a picture. However, I am down some calories due to the fact I couldn’t stomach to eat anything after breakfast today. I’m sure that will hinder me tomorrow when I go for a run. But hey… that’s tomorrow’s problem. I’m am off to get at least 10 hours of sleep. That’s the goal!

@Jaime Stewart I’m sorry to hear that. I’m glad he is fine and wishing him speedy recovery. It must be incredibly difficult to spend your day waiting and receiving such news. Sending you lots of hugs! 💕
Feeling good again
Today I'm feeling well again. I did a 6 k run and mealpreped again. Will put it into MFP when my daughter is in bed. We're battling English where she will writing a test tomorrow. Mealprep Breakfast is tiramisu oats with espresso and skyr. Lunch is veggie nuggets salad, german curry wurst and potatoes and rice with onion, tomatoes and eggs. Hopefully this week will not be that busy like last week. Plan to go to my Boxworkout class and doing some home workout. Spring is starting and I have a lot to do in my garden. It's a workout for itself. 💪

I’d finally feel amazing in my body if I could wear any clothes without think how I look and be confident. I’m confident in sports clothes for now 🙈
Melt down
Yesterday it finally happened!! My emotions broke out and I cried in front of my kids. We ended up going out to the mall to walk around and they were hungry. When are teenage boys not hungry. So we went to the food court. My one son decided what he wanted and I ordered it for him. All was good with the world. Then my second son wanted this poutine from NYF Then he wanted this Chinese combo with potatoes but he ordered beans and then got upset cause I was asking him to decided his meat for his combo. When we were back sitting down all I could think about is why am I here ? I ate having to pick something to eat from all these stores and having to track it in MFP. As my son continued complaining to me and both of them started calling each other names I just lost it. Why can you guys just eat whatever you want and not care. And I have to be so stressed about everything. In the end I went to get a drink for my son and decided I would just grab something. So I got a Cesar salad with the chicken on top. It was very saucy and probably a lot more calories than what they claimed on the menu. I said no cheese or bacon but I should have said no sauce also. That thing was like do you want some lettuce with that dressing?! But I ate it I talked about it with my kids and apologized for my outburst. Then said sorry as well and we hugged it out. We went for a little walk in the mall and then went back home. Not sure it won’t happen again but maybe they can see things my way a little more next time.

@Valerie Frey *hugs* *hugs* I understand it’s not easy, and I can’t really relate since I don’t have kids. Planning meals for teenage boys while also preparing your own can be quite stressful. Perhaps next time, you could let the boys order what they want and be responsible for their own food. I’m glad everyone cleared the air and hugged it out at the end. 💕

I agreed with coach @Kevin Teachanarong. You’ve been consistently mindful about your food choices, and you shouldn’t stress about having a saucy Caesar salad with chicken once in a while. This one time shouldn’t derail all the progress you’ve made. You’ve already made a conscious decision to eliminate bacon and cheese, and that’s a positive step. It’s all about trial and error; if something doesn’t turn out as expected, it’s okay. You won’t gain body fat from this single meal. Just enjoy the moment and bond with your loved ones. 🫶🏼
