Food tracking and life...
This past week I tracked my food more and more. I try to put it into the log a day before as I mostly meal prep. My weight is mostly constant. I learned Perimenopause weight is real. 😫 Trying to adapt especially my nutritional part. Yesterday I planned to go to the gym with my hubby and then sauna. But I'm feeling under the weather. If I'm feeling slightly sick, I'm only walking. Learned in the past, when I prayed hockey, never do sport when you're sick. Hopefully it passes fast. This week school starts again and with that all the routine etc. I'll plan to track my food completely and using the scale more.

Thai Street Food Festival 🎉
My second Thai festival but this time round I know more about the culture and I came prepared. I suggest you get a drink cause this will be a bit longer post. 😁 My mom and I went there, parked the car and a shuttle took us to the areal. Great start into an amazing afternoon! 🫶🏻 If you know us, you know that we love shopping and what did we see right next to the entrance? Right a clothing booth! Did we spend 80CHF in the first 15 minutes - maybe yes 😅 — — — — It was lunch time so off we went to the food stands. 🚶🏼‍♀️ I didn’t want to be stuck on the same food over again, so to get some inspiration I asked Coach @Darren Liu in last qna for his favorite meals. He told me his top 3 and my eyes were spying the menus today like an eagle. First find: ✨ Thai green tea & Thai lemon tea - It was a 8/10, iced and not too sweet! A perfect refresher! Second find: ✨Duck larb with rice: - It’s a 9/10 for me and definitely in my top 5. I tried the meat first and it was an explosion of tastes. It was slightly sweet and sour at the same time with a spicy aftertaste. Topped the rice with a chili oil and the flavors blended together nicely. Third find: ✨ Pad Thai: - Freshly made it was a 7/10. I liked the shrimp it was served with but nuts give off a strong flavor which isn’t my favorite but overall great meal Fourth find: ✨ Som tum: - No words besides 10/10. I waited so long to try it, totally worth it! A bit spicy but great as an afternoon snack! Now I know why this dish is so famous and loved. Fifth find: ✨ Pineapple Cocos smoothie - Probably a 6/10 as it contained a lot more coconut than I expected but still tasted good 😋 I sure as hell went over my calories today but I have no regret. This event happens once a year so no problem going back to routine from tomorrow on. 💪🏻 — — — — Another round of clothes shopping 🛍️ with a full stomach — pls never let me loose on clothes, it will end in me spending way more than I earn. 😂

🍭 FUN FOOD YYYAAAY: Sweet Tooth Edition
Who says you can’t enjoy something sweet while working toward your goals?! 😋 One thing I’ve learned is that fat loss doesn’t mean eliminating the foods you enjoy. Sometimes it’s about finding ways to make your sweet cravings fit. Today’s little dessert plate: 🥥 25g crispy coconut rolls 🫐 81g fresh blueberries 🥛 My homemade condensed milk ✨ 221 calories total And look at the VOLUME! 👀 Instead of eating the coconut rolls straight out of the bag because we all know how quickly that can turn into “where did the bag go?!” 😂 I portioned them out, added fresh fruit, and used my homemade condensed milk as a dip. My condensed milk recipe is also saved under the Recipe category if anyone wants to try it! https://www.skool.com/darrenliufitness/homemade-low-calorie-sweetened-condensed-milk?p=15dba385 This is something I’ve really enjoyed learning during my journey: you don’t have to choose between reaching your goals and enjoying food. You can have both. Plan it. Portion it. Enjoy it. Move on. 💪 No guilt. No “I messed up.” Just another food that fits into the bigger picture. What’s your favorite sweet treat that you’ve learned how to make fit into your goals? 🍓🍫🍦

@Lena Nguyen wow already 10th grade. How many years left for her? German school system is a bit different. You can finish at 9th, 10th and 13rd grade, depends on which "degree" you want.

@Lena Nguyen im Germany we had 12th grade for a few years but turned back to 13 grades. After that you can go to a university. Not possible if you only graduate after 9th and 10th grade.
Sunday PRs, HYROX Adjustments & Skunk Poop 😂🦨
New PR on a Sunday morning! 💪 50 lbs on my Standing EZ Bar Curl for a 5RM! Momma is getting stronger over here. 😜 With HYROX training starting, I’ve decided to shift my focus a little more toward endurance and bring my strength training down to 2 days a week. I’m not going to lie…it feels WEIRD adapting my routine. My brain is like, “But wait…aren’t we supposed to lift today?!” 😂 But training for a new goal means being willing to adjust instead of trying to do ALL the things. This morning I also slept in a little and got to the gym later than planned. Last night the mister announced, “We’re out the door for Disneyland at 9AM.” Welp…9AM came and Momma was still handling business at the gym. 🤣 I texted him knowing full well it was going to drive his anxiety CRAZY. He wasn’t exactly thrilled when I got home. 😬 But he knows the gym is a priority for me, sooooo…he’ll get over it. 😂 Disneyland isn’t going anywhere! And speaking of the mister…yesterday he was helping Patrick work on his mudroom. Apparently Patrick had to crawl underneath the house and discovered skunk poop AND black widows. 🦨💩🕷️ The mister looks at me and says: “For once, I’m thankful I’m chunky because I couldn’t fit under the house with Patrick.” I LOST IT. 🤣🤣🤣 Apparently being chunky has officially become a safety feature. Happy Sunday, everyone! PR accomplished, training adjusted, Disneyland delayed, and the mister survived another day without crawling through skunk poop and black widows. I’d call that a successful weekend. 😂💪
