No more confusion on what to eat for fat loss! 💪
When in doubt: build the PERFECT PLATE ✅ These are the meals I build for my daughter. A good balance of: - protein - green veggies - starchy carbs - fibrous and nutrient-dense fruits - rice when she feels like it In my humble opinion: we adults should be eating the same way as our children, just smaller portions! (Most of the time) Don't get me wrong -- she doesn't clean the plate EVERY meal. But we've implemented a few key strategies that helps her eat her full meals rather than snacking throughout the day. Would you eat these meals? 😄

@Lena Nguyen oh yum!!! 😋
Introducing myself!
I got pulled into this community so quickly, I didn’t even properly say hey! Typical me to make the second step before the first! 😅 Well I‘m Ramona, soon 23, from Jestetten in south Germany, bachelor student in marketing. I fell in love with sport (gymnastics) when I was around 6 but my lazy ass stopped. I really want to get my muscles and stamina back to have a healthier body again! That’s my main goal but also to meet amazing people along the way! Lovely to be part of this great community 🫶🏻

@Ramona Eckenstein Not really. The furthest I’ve ventured in southern Germany was Lake Constance, the Black Forest, Freiburg, Villingen, Tübingen, Munich, Nuremberg, and Heidelberg. I visited two years ago to reconnect with friends and my husband’s childhood university area. It’s beautiful, and I’ll always love der Weihnachtsmarkt. I always visit my in laws in Dresden for Christmas!

@Ramona Eckenstein yes! We went on a road trip around Germany. Lake Constance remains my favourite! I love northern Germany too, it’s beautiful.

We’re doing a short 5-Day “Next Meal Normal” Challenge. Not a weight loss challenge. Not a perfection challenge. A CONSISTENCY challenge. Most people don’t struggle because of one meal. They struggle because one meal turns into: “Ah f*ck it… today is ruined.” “I’ll restart Monday.” And suddenly one moment becomes three days. I had a client that used to get so depressed after a binge meal that he canceled his gym membership entirely! Not this time. Not for you guys. 👉 So the rule for this challenge is simple: If a meal goes sideways… your only job is to return to normal eating at the next meal. No punishment. No skipping meals. No trying to “make up for it.” Just normal. Each day I’ll drop a quick check-in post. If you practiced NEXT MEAL NORMAL that day, just comment: "NORMAL" That’s it. Anyone who checks in at least 3 of the 5 days will be entered to win a prize from me. (Hint: it will help you build muscle 💪) Nothing fancy. Just a good habit to practice together. We start tomorrow, you in? 👊 P.S. Yes, we’re starting on a SUNDAY, because that’s when a lot of people fall apart. We’re not Monday-starters here. We are ASAP-starters!

Normal - Wednesday: I had a hearty breakfast of oatmeal with fruits and coffee. I then walked to the gym for strength training and a walk back home. Afterward, I had a protein shake. Today, I needed to get my thumbprint at the police station before processing my ID card, so we walked there and back. For lunch, I had another savoury oatmeal with yoghurt and spice-marinated chicken. After lunch, I had a knoppers dark chocolate waffle with a pineapple tart and an americano. I took some time to rest up. Dinner was a small slice of sourdough bread with turkey ham, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes. I also went for a 15-minute walk. I’m happy to report that my macros and calories are on point, and I’ve clocked 15,000 steps today! 🙌🏼

Normal - Thursdays, I stick to my usual breakfast routine, simply repeating my daily breakfast without overthinking the prep. For lunch, I’ve become a big fan of savoury oatmeal and have been experimenting with different ingredients. Today, I decided to upsize my portion because I was famished after my gym session and it was late lunch. Dessert was chocolate protein pudding and a protein shake. Everything is in check, and I walk to the gym and back, completing another day of strength training. To wind down, I relax and read my book before bed. My calorie and macro intake is on point. 🙌🏼
⚖️ Thrive Thursday: Boundaries in a Blended Family
Blended family life comes with a lot of love… and moments that require real conversations. I recently had to advocate for my daughter in a situation that didn’t sit right with me. My partner’s son (24) tends to play rough with her (14). This has been brought up before—not just by me, but even his girlfriend has mentioned it—and it still continues. What may feel like “just playing” to him doesn’t always feel safe or comfortable to her. There was also a moment where he told her to remove her Mary necklace because of his personal beliefs. Even if it was said jokingly, it didn’t land that way. As her mom, that was my cue to step in. Not to create conflict— but to reinforce boundaries, respect, and emotional safety. I shared with my partner: - She’s still a kid - He’s a grown adult - And awareness of tone, strength, and influence matters 💡 What this taught me: Sometimes boundaries aren’t about one moment… they’re about patterns. And when something has already been communicated and continues, it’s important to calmly and clearly reinforce the standard. In blended families especially: ✨ Respect goes both ways ✨ We don’t force beliefs onto kids ✨ “Just joking” doesn’t override how someone feels Not sharing this to call anyone out— but to remind us that advocating for our kids is part of the job. Because they’re always watching what we allow.

@Lena Nguyen You handled the situation well by stepping in to set boundaries, even though it was uncomfortable. It’s important to advocate for your children when necessary. You did well! 💕
