Roadtrip and daily walk
Walking every day for the June Challenge showed me how much it helped not just my physical health but also my mental health, so I continue to take 10 - 15 minutes in the morning for short movements into July. With a 4,5 hours roadtrip ahead today I knew there’s not much extra movement I will get done. I still put my head down and adapted my usual schedule: Wake-up time moved from 5:30 am -> 5:00 am 🙈 Daily walk shortened to 12 minutes 🚶‍♀️‍➡️ Refresh and breakfast done by 6:15 am 🥐 Uni studies accelerated from 8:00 am to 6:30 am 🎓 Yes I will most likely be a bit more tired tonight but some days just force us to make decisions. Adapting an existing plan is always a bit easier than coming up with a new one. Even if my walk was shorter this time, at least I got some movement in for today! It’s not about perfection, it’s about being consistent with the things that help your body and health! 💕

Commitment. Nice work!
Coach Darren once asked in his post: “Is there such thing as trying?”
That question came back to me today. This morning my routine was off. I slept in, missed my usual 6am gym time, and honestly didn’t feel motivated. The old me might’ve said, “I’ll try again tomorrow.” But today I decided 1pm still counted. So I showed up… even with the gym full of teenagers giving summer camp chaos 😂 and I still got it done. Walked away with 2 new PRs: 🔥 Angled Machine Leg Press: 185 lbs. My legs and feet felt numb after that one 😱 🔥 One Arm DB Preacher Curl: 17.5 lbs. This felt incredible because it showed me how much stronger I’m becoming. Today reminded me: maybe there isn’t “trying.” There’s choosing, adjusting, and doing. Strength is built when the routine isn’t perfect, motivation is low, and you still show up anyway. 💪✨

Good work! I struggle with afternoon workouts as well, so good for you!
QUICK! Drop something you're grateful for today👇
Let's get ourselves in the "abundance" mindset. Go for it!

So very thankful to have the month of July off! I get to finally reap the reward of weeks of long, busy days and little sleep! Going to soak it in every minute of the month!

My internal monologue while running a 5k on the treadmill: Ok, I've got this. Actually, this sucks ass. I'll just run for a mile. Why is this so awful? I'm still going. May as well hit two miles. That will be enough for me to feel accomplished. Wow it's hard to breathe. Why am I here? *Imagines I'm with Darren's running group in Thailand and I can't stop running or I'll look like a little bitch in front of all those hot people* Made it two miles and I can't feel my legs. Guess I'll just keep going until I die. Don't be a little bitch. Don't be a little bitch. F*ck it, I'm almost done, let's speed up and finish this shit strong. 5k done. *Dies*

Same. My internal voice screams “don’t be a quitter” and “I should just quit” simultaneously.
Today I learn...
Running clothes are dry fit for the very specific reason that it will absorb sweat fast and dry very fast because you will SWEAT (insert clip of Coach @Darren Liu squeezing the moisture out of his headband 💦 gross 😂) I started my morning with a 5-min warm-up walk followed by 3 sets 5-mins jog+5-min walk (2.8km). My legs were tingling, my breath felt okay... Is this what learning to run feels like? I do feel like I can push running for more than 5 minutes; will see how I do next run day. Seriously, running is a love-hate...
