🚫📱 The No-Nag Method .. Day 1 Recording (swimmers AND parents)
I'll be straight with you: this is an experiment, but it's easy to measure and I believe in it. So we do it together .. swimmers, parents, and me as your guide. No nagging. You're the boss. Here's why my heart burns for this one. The scroll quietly pulls a little life out of you every day. It gives us something .. distraction, boredom relief, a feeling of belonging .. otherwise we wouldn't do it. Nothing wrong with you. But it does not give you real connection, it does not give you love, and the problems don't go away. Being present does. Swimmers, you can win at this because you have a WHY: you love swimming, you want to level up, you're go-getters who respond to a challenge. And this is a challenge. Parents, you being here is the edge .. at this age advice lands better from the side than from mum or dad, so I carry the message for you. Together. Do all 3 in the comments 👇 1️⃣ Baseline screenshot. Your weekly screen time. - 📱 iPhone: Settings → Screen Time → See All Activity → switch to Week → screenshot. - 🤖 Android: Settings → Digital Wellbeing → tap the bar chart → Week → screenshot. 2️⃣ WHY you want less screen time. Swimmers your reason, parents yours. Be 100% honest. 3️⃣ WHAT it actually gives you. Distraction? Boredom? Feeling connected or informed? No wrong answer .. if you're not sure, journal on it for 7 minutes. I only coach the people who take step 1, so post your baseline. In a couple of days we move to the next step, gamify it, and adjust as we learn. Two easy wins today: no phones at dinner (parents lead), and phone away 30 min before bed. This is really about not wasting the potential you've clearly got!! Let the games begin .. first screenshot this Sunday, me included. 💪

♣️ Who's thinking about changing clubs for next year??
I'm curious please vote below. Depending on the votes, Yul and I might be running a special training for swimmers and parents who want to switch to another club. We have been part of many successful transitions and we know what to do (and what to avoid!!) to find a great team & coach. Vote HERE 👇

🎁 FREE ACADEMY TRAINING: How to Start a Swim Camp So It Actually Changes You
***UPDATE*** Recording is uploaded and available for everyone below. Enjoy! Change in plans today as we're going to live-stream the Academy training directly from Mallorca with the Swimpros who are on camp right now. The training is 2 hours earlier than usual (and yep, it's recorded) and available for everyone in the Skool group. Read this real quick: 2 swimmers go to the same camp and do the exact same sets. One comes home transformed. The other just comes home tired. What separates them is decided before they ever dive in… Tonight we're breaking down exactly what to do in the first hours of a performance camp so the entire 10 days compound instead of just happening to you. Here's what we cover live: 👉 The first-morning move that decides what you take home 👉 Why chasing your times at camp quietly makes you slower 👉 How to know on day 1 exactly what you'll leave with 👉 The reason the swimmer who recovers hardest improves the most 👉 The questions that make a world-class coach pour into you 👉 How to come home transformed from any swim camp (also with your regular team) This special call is available for everybody!! Join us live in here: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/2906319395 Today at 5pm Zürich (4pm UK) time. Pic: Badass shot of @Lara Umegbolu before her 50m freestyle race on New Years camp. PS: We're going to pause the Gatorade Half-Hour until summer camps so we can come up with alternatives together during camp.

Competition-block done and ready for taper
The last three weeks I had three LC outside competitions. I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the time but to be honest I could have done a lot better. I already did a post about the first meet so I’ll only go into the other two here. I had so many races at the second competition that I don’t remember every detail but I wanna talk about two of them: 1. I got DQd in my 200 fly for touching not with both hands the same time at the 150 turn - maybe better that no one can see the time now😬 2. The 100 fly went a lot better. I had 1:02.0 in the prelims and 1:02.4 in the final. Quite happy with that result considering the races I had before Backstroke was feeling bad all weekend and I crashed into the lane line multiple times This was also the case this weekend. My start was on fire but I lost my rhythm and speed after 25 meters with a huge crash. Still was faster than the week before but still miles off my PB Fly was feeling really good this weekend. I was getting a lot faster and with every time race and also a lot closer to my PBs. I had 1:01.6 in the individual race and then 1.01.1 in the 4x100 mixed medley relay. We also swam the mixed 4x100 free relay. I went 56.51 so only 0.02 off my PB . Really happy with that. We also broke the meet record in the freestyle relay and won 200€ for our team. The medley relay was also faster than the meet record but we placed 2. so no price money this time. Still really proud of my team because the girls did an amazing job Both relays are also new team records. This is my first one so I’m really happy with it. Overall I didn’t swam a single PB, but that’s not that important for me. I’m locked in for the taper meet in 2 weeks where I’ll go for the 100 fly sub 1:00. This was my goals since January and now I’m closer than ever to it. Have to recover hard now and earn the results PS 100 fly from this weekend attached
