Amira: I'm the kind of swimmer who gives all to get better and better. End of schoolyear time is very filled up. Got my last class tests back and I'm very happy about my grades I got. Still waiting for the German test... Lots of good and hard trainings. Today we had a set of about 2000m fin swimming. As I swim with hard fins my feet were sore all over at the end. 2 More weeks and summerbreak starts. On Saturday it's my last comp before summer. Tomorrow I have an appointment to check on my ankle injury. Pain is gone now most of the time so I hope everything is well. Still do stability training for the ankle. We had Wraos for Dinner today. Try to get enough sleep every night at the moment. Good night (I'm akready sleeping, told my mom to post my gains) Nutrition: 7/10 Hydration: 7/10 Visualization✅️

What motivates you?What motivates you to push forward? In swimming, life. Over all. For me competition. Not in like a race, swim meet. But raw competition. Triyng to outperform everybody else. It motivates me like nothing else.....

Amira: reaching goals is her motivation that for sure includes getting better every day, getting better times, better technique. But it is pushed by (like in lifesaving) beeing as good as possible to be able to go to German Nationals.

My last competition before the summer holidays wasn't my best
My last competition before the summer holidays wasn't my best. On May 30th, I swam three races SC: 100m freestyle, 100m medley, and 50m butterfly. On the downside, my turns were poor. I was two seconds slower than my personal bests in all events. I felt really unwell due to my allergies. On the upside, I focused on my technique and was able to maintain very long underwater phases. I still managed to win one gold and one silver medal.

Sorry you suffer from allergie, hope it's getting better soon! Also sorry that you couldn't meet your usual times. But you are good in reflecting on it and you did good in maintaining technique. Still, well done!
