Season Kick-Off (Swimpros Sunday 🔥)
We're officially starting with the Swimpros Academy on Sunday, September 13th. From now on.. all trainings (for swimmers and parents) are happening on Sundays... Therefore... Swimpros Sundays!! 🔥 I'll send an update on how this works tomorrow so keep an eye out! 👀 I just uploaded one of the most amazing confidence building sessions I've ever seen - and I didn't even run it 😂 It was WR Holder @Peter Mankoč who was one of our guest coaches in the summer camp. It's 30mins of advice that you wish someone told you 3 hers ago. But you can get free access now. 👉 Comment "Peter" below and I'll send it to you. It's so good I don't wanna make it public so you receive it on the DM's. See ya tomorrow, David & the Swimpros team

Personal experience about recovery
I wanted to share something as a parent, because it may help another parent or swimmer. During the last camp, in august , David wrote that proper post-training recovery is essential and that “this is not a joke.” I could not agree more. We learned this ourselves. My swimmer was not always refuelling properly after hard sessions, and little by little performance started to drop and other problems appeared the real issue being that the body is simply not getting enough energy for everything it is being asked to do. And in a teenager, this matters even more than in an adult athlete. An adolescent needs energy not only for training and recovery, but also for growth, bone development, hormonal maturation and normal puberty. This is where parents should know about RED-S — Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport. It can develop when, over time, an athlete does not take in enough energy to cover both training and the body’s normal needs. The signs can be surprisingly easy to miss: persistent fatigue, slower recovery, declining performance, loss of strength, recurrent injuries, changes in mood or concentration, reduced immunity, and disturbances in bone and hormonal health. What makes RED-S tricky is that it often develops gradually, and many of these signs can easily be blamed on adolescence, school stress, poor sleep or “just a bad season.” That is why I really appreciate the way Swim Pros insists not only on training, but also on proper post-training nutrition, carbohydrates + protein, hydration, electrolytes when needed, and enough sleep..and mental coaching of course. We caught the problem in time, but it made me realise how easy it is to overlook. So yes, David was absolutely right: this is not a joke. Recovery and adequate fuelling are part of the training itself — especially in a growing athlete.

Yeah, that happened to me like 5-7 times. I didn't eat enought. Other signs: Can't sleep The water feels cold in trainings(a big f#cking sign to rest). No appetite. Feel of the water is shit even thou you swim every day(a big f#cking sign to rest). In the end I always got sick. Your immunity after a demanding training (demanding energy vise) gets weakened. To counter that you need carbs immediately after training.
My first race of the season.
I only swam the 100free LCM. A year ago my time one the 100free at same race was 1.06. Now i swam 1.02.44 First 50 was 29 .00 flat, second 50 was 33.44 Thats a split😅🤣. My first 25m was under 13sec. I had this long debate about what technique to use in the 100 free. In this race, I swam gallop. I had trained zero gallop beforehand. Now that my T-spine rotation has improved, gallop suits me well. After the first 50, I had a bit of confusion with my stroke, but then I corrected it. I am happy with my start and underwaters. I practiced my start beforehand. Still, work needs to be done. My legs are falling a bit flat onto the water. I need to enter the water in more of a straight line, with less splash. Underwaters: From the start, it was good. I was underwater for around 12–13m. That’s my usual. The underwaters from the turn were bad. I didn’t do much training for the 100 beforehand, so I was cooked. I am slowly fixing my turn the way Tino taught us at Summer Camp 1. My kick is kind of nonexistent. I’m gonna improve that. That’s about it.
My first race of the season.

@Viktoria Vasile I like to hear that. My starts are starting to look pretty damn good. Just need to lift my back leg more. And use my hads as momentum.
