“We economists have done the maths: ‘growth’ is a doomed strategy – there is a better way”
Yesterday, a collective op-ed was published in The Guardian and Le Monde by NEEP’s Chair, Olivier De Schutter, and signatories Joseph Stiglitz, Jayati Ghosh, Thomas Piketty, Kate Raworth and Jason Hickel, as well as 400 other experts from around the world. In the face of deepening inequalities and global ecological disaster, leading experts agree that growth has failed to eradicate poverty or to promote wellbeing. They confirm that poverty is not inevitable. Rather, it is manufactured. Yet another way is possible. The Roadmap for Eradicating Poverty, co-developed by more than 400 contributors across academia, the UN system, trade unions, grassroots movements, and civil society, offers 80 concrete policy measures to transform the economy to ensure human and ecological wellbeing by design. NEEP - New Economies Eradicating Poverty A promising path to our collective future? Comments welcome 🤗 📘 Read in the Guardian: https://lnkd.in/enZ_rytB 📕 Lire dans Le Monde: https://lnkd.in/eMndBV8T

Organizational Impact Call - thanks for your feedback
The World as a Village of 100 People
Thought this would be of interest to share as applications are currently open for a United World College (UWC)-endorsed online short course “The World as a Village of 100 People.” This online course invites participants to explore global inequality, identity, interdependence, and citizenship through an immersive simulation-based learning experience. Using the imaginative framework of a “village of 100 people,” participants will examine how global systems shape everyday life and how communities make decisions about their shared future. Through dialogue, role-based learning, and a structured Citizen Assembly, participants will practice empathy, ethical representation, systems thinking, and collaborative decision-making. The Geographical Imaginations Expedition & Institute (The GIEI) is an education and civic learning initiative that uses human geography, dialogue, and systems thinking to help young people and communities better understand global interdependence, inequality, and planetary futures. The GIEI designs learning experiences and research projects that cultivate imagination, critical thinking, and collective agency around global challenges. If anyone does sign up it would be fabulous to share your learning back here with the community ☺️

Organizational Impact Calls
Hi Everyone, Nadene and I have been letting our brains bubble around a big question lately: How are we translating inner development into meaningful organizational impact, and what can we learn from one another’s experiences? To do that, we are wanting to co-design a brand-new offering: Organizational Impact Calls. Twice each month, members will open the doors to their organizational practice, sharing real-world experiments, challenges, and successes in applying inner development. Together, we will explore what works, what doesn't, and how we can create greater impact through collective learning. Join the Co-Design Calls: June 9th & 23rd Because this is a space built by practitioners for practitioners, we want to design the details with you. We are hosting two initial community calls to discuss, see who's interested and what your needs are: - Tuesday, June 9th at 12:30 CET - Tuesday, June 23rd at 12:30 CET Note: Both sessions will be recorded if you can't make it live, but we’d love your presence and insights in the room. Let's see what we can create together. Warmly, Sarah & Nadene

In case you missed it last week @Sarah Santacroce mentioned we've been thinking about bringing community together.
