There are currently three open spots in this year’s Caux Scholars Programme, which will take place in Indonesia from May 27 to June 18. The program is for youth between 18-35. The program focuses on narratives and power dynamics, justice and trauma, and conflict transformation. I had the chance to participate last year in Brazil and it was mind-blowing! It is fully sponsored by Initiatives of Change USA, covering tuition, accommodation in Bandung, and all meals throughout the program. Please note that airfare and travel-related expenses are not covered. Participants are responsible for arranging and funding their own travel to Bandung, including visa fees and personal expenses. The 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡, a major UN-backed initiative co-constructed with UN agencies, civil society, unions, and academic experts who have been collaborating since 2024 to identify proposals that can achieve social progress and wellbeing without relying on perpetual economic growth. Once finalised, the Roadmap will offer a catalogue of concrete policy measures that governments, international agencies, and other stakeholders can implement that place human rights, care, and well-being at the centre of the economy, while respecting planetary boundaries. Roadmap policies fall under five pillars, with democratic planning and governance underpinning them all: 1. Transforming economic systems 2. Labour, care and economic democracy 3. Universal basic services and social protection 4. Ecological justice 5.
