The strength of a perceived 'weak' trait.
What if I told you there are people who are naturally empathetic, creative, curious, long-term thinkers. People with a deep appreciation for nature, who are altruistic, cooperative, and caring? People who want to contribute, not compete. Yet, we don’t see them leading as often as we should. Why? Because many of them see their sensitivity as a burden, rather than a gift. High sensitivity can feel like a double-edged sword. These sensitive people often get lost in self-doubt, insecurity, indecisiveness, and overstimulation. But they posses the qualities we need to drive real, human-centered change in business, society, and our planet. These sensitive individuals are the new generation of change makers. The ones who can connect empathy with action, and purpose with impact. If we can empower them, show them their strength, and give them the space to lead, we can create something truly meaningful. 🌸 Love to hear what you think or if you have any questions on the matter!

@Nadene Canning exactly! Vulnerability is also often recognizing and acknowledging that not everything is perfect towards each other, which is the first steps of a deeper connection and ultimately action!

@Marvin Maneve yes! Of course every HSP is different and therefore copes with it differently, but I agree that these are common tendencies for HSPs. Now the question is, how do we make sure they don’t get stuck in point 2 and move on to point 3 - so that they can utilize their sensitivity for individual and collective good?
Translators & Bridgemakers
this is one of the slides I used during the Unconference workshop called 'How to Translate the IDGs into concrete Outcomes your Clients Care About' and it will be the basis of our Client Value Challenge. Yes, we are bridge-makers, but we are also translators who need to be really good at speaking both languages, the IDG-language (or the new paradigm language), but also the business language and current (or some might say old paradigm) language. Because it's only when we address the organizational challenges (pain points) that we get heard, understood and taken seriously. That's why we'll become experts at reverse-engineering - or translating. From IDG language (the different dimensions and skills) to organizational pain points, employee's needs and respective SDGs. P.S. in the last hangout we noticed most of us speak at least 2 languages! πŸ‘‰ How many languages do you speak ? Drop it in the comments

This is exactly why I am curious in exploring startups, large organizations, and people. Figuring out how they work, what drives them, what they value, and what their pain points are. Start there and then translate the IDG goals that would make sense to them, something that would fit into their own agenda. I love the analogy of being translators!

Hi all,
I am Fleur and I am excited to join the Inner Development community! I am from the Netherlands, but I currently live in Germany. I did my masters, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, at Lund University in Sweden. With a deep ambition to create a more sustainable and inclusive world, I embarked on this journey of entrepreneurship. Later I wrote my thesis about the correlation between Aesthetic Sensitivity and Sustainable Entrepreneurial Intention. Right now I do my exchange at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich where my courses focus on strategy and management. I also work as a marketing manager for the BENELUX for a UK company. I am looking forward to connect with all of you, to learn from and be inspired by you! If you want to chat, please reach out!
