🤪 Mayhem in May starts NOW!!! 🥳
In case you missed it, the mayhem begins tonight at midnight EDT and lasts for 24 hours! What does that mean??? For 24 hours, you can promote ANYTHING you want once an hour. Free or paid, on Skool or off Skool, product or service, anything goes! There are just two rules: 1. You can only post once an hour. Yes, we will be monitoring, but please also just follow the rules so that we don't have to do a lot of extra work. 😉 2. For every post you make, you must comment on 3 other posts. GIFs alone do not count, but we do like them along with a thoughtful comment. Wondering why you have to comment? Well, we don't post and 👻 around here, but also, read this post by Des for some more great points! Do you know what you are going to post? Do you have a plan or are you just going to wing it? Do you have a current promotion that you want to highlight? Who has their posts all lined up and ready to copy and paste? Let's have some fun with this! 🤩 Make connection, support each other, get some new members, and maybe find a couple of new groups yourself!

Do you have 2 minutes?
What if it only took 2 minutes to reset, recharge, and find calm? Tomorrow, the CLASSIFIEDS own @Lydia Lowery Busler a professional composer, musician, healer, mentor, and polymath is hosting a quick 30-minute masterclass on how to return to your natural relaxed state in only 2 minutes. This is value that you don't want to miss! Check the calendar for the exact time. Here is what Lydia has to say: In an ideal world, our brains waves flow nicely from an excited state to a focused state, a visionary state to meditative state, and onward to a deep sleep state. Frequently, more than one of those states is happening at once. If things get rough, stressful, or traumatic, the intersections of those waves can become jagged. If we have some sharp edges after a rough day, like getting some bad news, taking a fall on our skis, or getting in an argument, usually we get back on track after some sleep if the system is healthy. We take extra steps to guide our brains back to calm, such as bathing, hot tea, yoga, or meditation, and when that happens, we're often able to fall asleep and hopefully get deep sleep. But what if sleep is broken? If our stress becomes chronic from things like ongoing hostility at work, or a single event such as a house fire that causing injuries, homelessness, and an inability to show up at work, we find ourselves getting less and less quality sleep and becoming more stressed during the day. Yoga and meditation may not work if brain waves are too volatile and misaligned. When we feel anxious and can't recover, we might turn to alcohol or sleeping pills. I'm a mother, a daughter, performer, teacher, community member, and I'm a survivor who's overcome impossible life odds. I came out the other side at peace. Why? In all my degrees and certifications - Applied Art, DMA in Music, Performance Coaching, Meditation Facilitation, Hypnotherapy, Positive Intelligence, Circle Leadership, Policy Governance, Board Leadership, NOLS, I've found one unifying factor that's helped me: FREQUENCY. By the end of this session, you'll have a clear understanding of controlling frequency in your life.

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS. To learn How to Make Your Classifeds' Posts Work Harder for You, check out this masterclass by one of our moderators, @Faith Adebayo

What Kind of Community Support Do I Need Right Now?
If you're a community owner, course creator, coach, or membership owner, there comes a point where having another set of eyes or another brain in the room can be incredibly helpful. I currently offer three levels of community support. Most people start with one of the first two. That's what this post is about. I've had several people ask about the difference between a Community Review and a Community Support Call. The easiest way to explain it is this... One helps you see your community more clearly. One helps you think through where you're going next. 👀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 This might be for you if... You're looking for more participation, more connection, and more activity inside your community... but you're not quite sure what a new member experiences when they arrive. You've spent weeks, months, or even years building your community. You're close to it. Really close. You know where everything is. You know what every course does. You know what every category means. A brand new member doesn't. I'll walk through your community from the perspective of a new member and share observations about: - first impressions - onboarding - navigation - clarity - member experience - patterns that may be easy to miss when you're inside it every day Sometimes the answer isn't creating more content. Sometimes it's seeing what your members see. 🧩 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 This might be for you if... Your notebook, Google Docs, AI(s) of choice, sticky notes, and brain are all having separate conversations. 😂 You have a notebook full of ideas and you're trying to figure out which one deserves your attention first. You're mapping out a challenge, workshop, classroom, offer, onboarding sequence, or member journey. You keep seeing possibilities and aren't quite sure how all the pieces fit together yet. You want someone to help you think through your ideas before you spend hours building something.

Got Gym Anxiety?
If you’ve ever felt intimidated walking into a gym – you are not alone 🙋🏽 Gym anxiety is extremely common, especially for beginners. The unfamiliar equipment, the people who look like they know exactly what they’re doing, the sound of weights, the fear of being judged… It’s a real barrier for a lot of people. But here’s the truth: Everyone in that gym was a beginner once. And most people are far too focused on their own workout to notice yours. A few tips for navigating gym anxiety: 📋 Go in with a plan so you’re not wandering and know exactly where to go 🕐 Try going during off-peak hours (mid-morning or early afternoon if you can) 🎧 Headphones in = focus mode activated (a good playlist also helps) 🤝 Ask a staff member to show you equipment – that’s a part of their job Want more helpful tips like these?
