You have a group of people who've signed up for your community, but now what do you put in your classroom?
If you are looking to your members to help you decide what direction to take your community or what to put in your classroom, there's an effective way of getting the information from them and a way that just ends with crickets. To learn the exact steps you need to take to get meaningful information to make this important decision, check out the standard tier of the "Your Best Course" Build Lab. At the bottom of the classroom in the Build Lab, you will find the "Validate Your Best Course" mini-course that takes you through the proven process of completing an environmental scan - the 7 steps to conducting an informative needs assessment and the 5 steps to conducting a useful market analysis. After going through these steps, you will be confident about the direction you need to take your group and clear about what needs to go in your classroom. Let me know any questions you have in the comments below!

Binging Your Course Like Netflix is NOT the Goal!!!
Having your students binge your course like it's a hot new Netflix series might sound like a good goal, but it's actually the last thing you want them to do. If your students are binging your content, it means that you haven't provided enough opportunities for practice and you haven't done a good enough job facilitating implementation. Our brains can't absorb, retain, and transfer a ton of knowledge in one sitting (or even a few sittings), so it is our job to chunk that information properly and then support the retention and transference of that knowledge into usable skills. So, while it may seem like something to strive for, the last thing we want is for our members to binge our content, say, "Well that was really interesting!" and then go about their day in the exact same way they were prior to taking your course. To learn more about setting up your classroom strategically for both the success of your students and your own success, make sure you attend the Now What? session in the Classifieds on Wednesday. Find the time in your time zone on the calendar, and if you can't make it, the replay will be available for a few days after the session. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comment below! 👇

Do you want this to be you?
I got a call from a former client this morning. She wanted to reach out and let me know that she hosted the "graduation call" for her cohort-based course last night and was blown away by all the positive feedback she got from students at the end of the course! They were saying things like: - This was one of the best courses I've ever taken! - You took something difficult and broke it down into bite-sized chunks that were so easy to manage! - The organization of this course was so well thought out! - I took a course at college that taught me how to do these things but I was never able to implement - now I know exactly what to do! - I've taken this course three times because it's so good! - She wanted to call and let me know about the feedback because she attributed the success to everything that she had learned and implemented in our time working together. Don't just copy what other people are doing - most people are not creating well-designed, high-quality courses. If you want to truly stand out and create a course that makes a difference and makes you the go-to in your niche, join me in the Your Best Course Experience program (available for purchase inside The Build Lab). Your course, your business, and your students deserve a course that showcases your expertise and gets real results! 😉 Please let me know any questions or comments you have!

What's the difference between organizing your classroom and organizing your expertise???
So often people mistake what I do for something else. They think that teaching them how to create a high-quality course means creating something that has high production value (it doesn't). They think that teaching them how to create a course means creating pretty canva slide decks (it doesn't). They think that teaching them how to organize their content means how to order the "courses" in their classroom (it doesn't). They think that teaching them how to get students into their course means how to market and launch (it doesn't). And it's not their fault. Most of us don't know what goes into creating an effective, efficient, and engaging course because we haven't seen a lot of them. Most people are replicating what they've seen others doing, and I'm here to tell you that what most people are doing is bad. Like, really bad. It's the reason why people say that online courses are dead - because most online courses are at best ineffective and at worst a hot mess. So, what do I do??? I teach you the exact frameworks to use to organize your expertise in a way that people can easily implement into their lives. I teach you the pedagogy and methodology that is based on how the science of how the brain learns so that you can present your expertise in a way that transforms instead of confuses and overwhelms. I walk you step-by-step through the decision-making process so that you know you've covered all your bases and have created something that you are proud to put out into the world. I teach you how to get real results for your students so that you stand out in a crowded marketplace and are excited about the value you provide to your members. Join the Build Lab today to get started creating your course alongside an award-winning educator with 25 years of experience in curriculum and course design so that you can be certain that your course delivers top-of-the-industry results. You can also DM me for a private consultation on how we can best work together if you would like more 1:1 assistance.
