💡 Community learning the right way
The best way to learn is not by just passively consuming content. That's a very small and increseangly less important part of it, as information is getting more and more accessible. We learn more by interacting, facing problems and putting things into practice. That's why Plan Your Tech is taking this structured learning experiences through action oriented posts, that you can follow in the classroom. So it's not about just consuming. It's about taking action, interacting, asking questions, getting feedback at your work and celebrating your wins. The Community Basics Bootcamp goes over everything I learned about community building, not only here, but by managing communities in different platforms for big influencers for over 2 years now. The Social Presence and Process Optimization ones are made for those who want to get their online businesses to another level, by being everywhere they can and automating and improving their process while doing that. In addition to that, you can contribute to our community by sharing your expertize. @Altaf Sayyed is hosting a course here about SEO, that you can check here. The course will be broken down in small, actionable posts, much like my bootcamp. He already made one post and there are more coming soon. You can arrange a free SEO check with him here. @Kevin Karanja is very active at Plan Your Tech and we're already talking about organizing a similar learning experience around design. if you want to share any expertize you have here and become a featured expert in my community to help people thrive in their business using technolog the right way, reach out to me here or in the DMs so we can organize a collaboration opportunity and turn this community into the number 1 place for people to figure out their tech.

First time uploading video content here. I know it sucks, but as Hormozi says, you gotta suck for a while untill you get good at it.

@Adal Bueno Thank you! That's exactly it. Consuming content and not acting on it is a waste of time as you will forget everything you consumed in a short while. Most online courses fail for not providing action or ways to get feedback on what you build.
PSA: Why the CLASSIFIEDS is a public group
When you join a group, it’s always a good idea to make note of whether the group is public or private. Public means anyone in the world can see everything inside the community (unless there are locks on courses). Everything inside is also indexed by search engines like Google. Private means only the people inside the group can see what’s posted. So while most people will choose rightly to have a private group, the whole point of the CLASSIFIEDS is to enhance your visibility and get you more members. I don’t want you wasting your time posting about your group and having it only seen by the people inside this community (as wonderful as they are!). On the flip side, make sure groups you are in where you are posting sensitive information are private. Check out the groups you are in. Any surprises???

It was an amazing talk!
32% of Level 1 members is crazy!!
I was just checking out the leaderboards, and I was wondering, out of 1,000 members, I would assume a group this size would have like 70% of level 1 members, but I was wrong I WAS SHOCKEDDDD to see 32,% almost half of what I expected. @Shannon Boyer you've really built a great space for members!!

Its incredible how much people are engaged here. And not only posting but also commenting. Most self promotion places have people only posting and leaving making them basically useless. @Shannon Boyer didn't build a self promotion page but a true functional networking platform where youre not banned for pitching your services.
📈 How to grow your Community using the Classifieds
I'm talking about my experience with this community and how it helped me go from 10 members to almost 50, with most of them coming from here. 1. Ask for feedback. At first I was just figuring out what I was trying to do, and my first posts were all about asking people for feedback. It turns out my message was far from being clear and I was really bad at selling what I did. After some honest and sometimes harsh feedbacks, I kept reinventing myself untill people finally understood what I was doing. If you can't explain what you do in one sentence, you need to improve your message. 2. Don't just post the same ad everyday. Be creative and test different things out. This place is perfect to test an idea you have, so give more than just a copy-paste of your about page. Talk a little bit about what you're doing, about the value you provide. Teach something. Make people intrigued. Write something that will make them interact with your post, like a question or a poll. Offer an opportunity so people feel like they have to join in order to take it. 3. Leave the CTA (Call To Action - requesting people to join your Community) at the end, not the title. Use the title to get people's attention, write a text that makes them want to keep reading and at the end make a CTA that will make them feel stupid for not joining your community. 4. Be consistent. People might need to see you more than once to be convinced. Post everyday, each time trying out something different, providing some valuable piece of content and a different perspective to the problem you're solving. Eventually people here will get familiar with you and they will want to join your community to get more of what you're posting. This is my community. I help people figure out the right tech tools for their businesses so they don't waste money on junk.

@Alison St. Romain hey. Yes. My first private client was a podcaster. He let go of an agency and hired me to manage his tech. And I just a call for another one yesterday. Its the best business model for content creators in my opinion. If you join my community you get a consulting call for free and a plan with guidance on what you should do short term and long term by email. Would love to have you there.

@Tiffanie Teel thank you'! yeah I try different things. I'm doing bootcamps now and hosting third party courses and guest lives. So there is a lot of content there and possibilities for collaborations. I got people hosting courses on SEO and design.
