I had already worked my way through most of the Y line, looking for one of them with the best longevity, so I thought I'd give the Parfum a few more wears. It smells good for a couple of hours, fruity, woody, aromatic, a touch of powder, but after 2.5 hours I noticed that I couldn't smell it. It had become a skin scent by then, and wasn't producing any sillage. I wore a polo shirt to the office today, and sprayed it pretty liberally on both arms, and on my chest under my shirt, but it wasn't detectable unless I pressed my nose to skin. By the fifth hour, it was barely even a skin scent. Today's wear is pretty consistent with my initial sampling, and unfortunately consistent with the Y line. Putting my decant of Creed Spice and Wood to good use today. I’ve always found this one to be in the same family as Royal Oud. It has that same sophisticated, dry cedar backbone, but with a smoother, slightly more fruit-and-spice twist. It’s the definition of a "power scent" that doesn't need to shout to be noticed. It's a great reference point for what a high-level woody fragrance should achieve. It has that refined, executive presence that just hits right.
