Irish Leather by Memo Paris
Greetings from Wyoming! I've been spending some time in southwest Wyoming for work and decided to try a sample of Irish Leather by Memo Paris. After a day of wearing it, I’d like to share my thoughts. Upon first spray, the fragrance opens with a vibrant green note, coupled with a fresh, spiced citrus scent. This opening is definitely bold and should appeal to those who really enjoy green fragrances. It reminded me of freshly cut grass with a hint of citrus lingering in the background. However, after about ten minutes, the citrus fades, and the mid notes introduce a drier, green-vegetable aroma, along with a strong leather accord. This phase evokes an image of a large leather bag filled with dried green foliage. While the scent has a masculine edge, it might be a bit too overpowering for some. It leans towards a classic masculine vibe that might come off as dated, especially for those who favor more modern scents. Fortunately, as the scent evolves, the initial greenness subsides, allowing for some woody notes to emerge, which help to balance the overt greenness and enhance wearability. In terms of performance, the initial green notes are quite pronounced for the first two hours, creating an impressive aroma bubble around me. After that, it settles closer to the skin but remains noticeable for a solid seven hours, which is great if you appreciate a green scent. Overall, Irish Leather isn't quite for me. The sharpness of the green notes and their dominance over the leather are not to my liking. However, if you are a fan of green aromas, this scent is definitely worth trying. Just keep in mind that for many people, this style of fragrance might feel a bit old school, so it could be best to test it first before committing.

SOTD: Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif (And a Peek at My Collection)
A cool day here in Michigan today, so I reached for BdC L’Exclusif. This is my personal favorite BdC flanker, even though it’s not a versatile as the EDP or the Parfum. The added ambery, resinous notes create a depth, richness, and warmth that the others don’t really have. It is Bleu de Chanel’s DNA dressed to the nines; elegant and classy, yet it doesn’t need to be restricted to only “black-tie” occasions. It’s still just versatile enough to break out occasionally as a leisurely SOTD.

Absolute Aphrodisiac by Initio
So a couple of months ago l, I picked up a 15 ml travel atomizer of this fragrance. I just did a spray on the back of my hand to try it out and liked it a good bit. Since our winter was warm, I didn't really give it a full wear. Today, since we're in the middle of a cold snap and I've pretty much been wearing PDM and Initio fragrances for the last week or two ( coincidentally sister houses ), I thought I'd wear this one again for a full day. Very simple as far as note breakdowns go, but it's absolutely marvelous! Maybe the sexiest vanilla fragrance that I own. It has a beautiful leather undertone, with a bit of florals and musk with a slight animalic note from castoreum. It became a skin scent within 2 hours. Slightly animalic in the best way possible. Even though it doesn't project much on my skin, the scent is intoxicating. The skin scent is incredibly addictive for those who are in your personal space. . This may very well be my next full bottle of an Initio fragrance. Even if I have to wait till fall again to wear it. The castoreum, just like some other Initio or PDM fragrances are done so it adds depth instead of being overpowering animalic scents.. This one does that perfectly! Although it seems I need to reapply the smell is intoxicating. What do y'all think about this one? I absolutely love this fragrance and I'm ready to buy a full bottle
