Talk about a budget beast! Warm spicy and even a bit fresh from grapefruit and Italian mandarin which share the top with pink pepper.. The the warmth comes from cinnamon and cardamom in the mid. Based with a mild tobacco leaf, a gorgeous roasted coffee note and patchouli and you have one hell of a winter banger for usually under $40. I blind bought this and am quite happy that I did! Do any of you have any experiences with this one?

Ombre Leather by Tom Ford
What can I say that you probably already know. Absolute masterpiece! I seem to receive either a compliment or a noticable deep sniff during a hug. It's such a realistic, smooth leather with some warming cardamom and a jasmine note that. Just smooths it out so beautifully. Amber, patchouli and Moss round out the bottom. Decent longevity.. about 6 hours on skin, 12+ on clothes. Have had Afnan Rare Carbon for a while now and on side by side, it's very difficult for me to discern between the two after about 30 minutes in the air. I. Can still barely notice the difference on skin and I feel like they both last about the same. Thoughts?

Wood scent vs Oud
Id like to dive into this. From my experience most people don’t know real oud or the difference in woody scents. I’m not casting shade Can we talk about this?

@Jamal Moore you're not wrong. I just think Paul was trying hard not to shame anyone for it. But not trying to show off about nuances between different roses and ours, Many people can't pick up the individual notes, much less the sublties. I was fortunate enough to dive into aromatherapy decades ago, so I know what most of the raw materials smell like, but I'm pretty certain that I'm in a very small percentage of the group. Small vials of essences and extracts can be a fun way to learn and even mix your own scents.

Finally have some cooler weather coming in for what has been an unusually warm fall. This is one of those that definitely screams holidays to my nose. I'd imagine it akin to smoking a cigar with a red hot in your mouth ( if anyone remembers those candles) Warm and spicy AF! Thoughts?

SOTD – Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir EDP
Reached for Bleu Noir today thinking I wanted something “blue” but this one definitely isn’t that shower gel type freshie. On the opening I’m getting this soft milky vibe. Not cardamom, not citrus, just this smooth creamy feeling with a little wood behind it. It’s subtle and calm, not loud at all. I was wondering why I’m smelling that milkiness and after looking into it, it actually makes sense. Narciso uses this really creamy musk in all their scents. It’s not bright or sharp like Bleu de Chanel. It’s more of a smooth skin-like thing, almost like clean warm skin instead of a fresh blast. The vetiver and cedar in here aren’t harsh either so they kind of blend in and make that creamy feeling even stronger. Not what I expected today but I’m enjoying the softness of it. Anyone else get that milky opening from this one?
