SOTD: Angels' Share, by Kilian
This evening is my first time wearing Angels' Share by Kilian, and I completely understand why this fragrance has such a devoted following. Released in 2020 and created by Benoist Lapouza, it opens with cognac, cinnamon, and oak before moving into tonka bean, praline, vanilla, and sandalwood. My immediate impression is that this smells rich, warm, and almost edible without crossing fully into dessert-fragrance territory. The boozy cognac note hits right away, but itâs smoothed out by the cinnamon and vanilla into something that feels incredibly cozy and luxurious. Honestly, it smells like sitting in a leather chair near a fireplace with a glass of something expensive in your hand. Definitely a fall and winter fragrance for me â evenings, holidays, dinners, cold-weather dates, or just relaxing at home on a chilly night. Itâs strong too, so a couple of sprays feels plenty. First impression: really impressive, and probably one of the most approachable âboozyâ fragrances Iâve tried.
