My favourite fragrance by a country mile. That 80-year-old Oud is tempered with a delicious spicy sweetness. This stuff lasts for literal days, even at one or two sprays. Not blind buy or office safe. I’m WFH today so I get to wallow in the decadence. 100ml bottle was a gift from my amazing wife.

So I had the chance to visit the Merchant of Venice boutique while in Venice. After smelling the lineup, I decided on Venetian Blue. While at the shop, I chose this one because it seemed very likable, like most blue fragrances, but it had a nice maturity. Full review coming soon.

Very grateful Mike that you let me use you as an example to what I was thinking. Most people simply posted responses of certain frags but I couldn’t help but think deeper into it. So here it is. This is a fantastic yet complicated question for me Mike. First I’m going to say that for me personally I like to kind of push western style “norms” for seasonal applications. Mostly because I’ve lived all over the world and found frag application and significance can and does vary tremendously. And again it’s a game I like to play because I’m half squirrel. That said: What exactly in a summer scent profile are you looking for by notes? Do you want fresh citrus heavy? Aquatic? Resinous? Maybe even Oud forward? Sweet? Also what’s your situation? Indoors mainly? More outdoors? Formal or casual? Sorry but I think about these all the time. What say you all?
