Next live 5 day challenge announcement + New AI experience
Hey everyone, Jim here. Three things announced today. 1. The next 5-Day Challenge kicks off August 31: Free, live, and rebuilt from the ground up. This is the best version we've ever run. Save your spot here. Then do the part that actually decides whether you show up. Open your own calendar, block the hour on all five days, and set two reminders. For brains like ours, if it's not in the calendar it doesn't exist. Do it now, while this post is still on your screen. It takes two minutes. 2. Still finishing something something? You have until July 20 ⚠️ If you're working through the ADHD Focus Reset or the current 5-Day Challenge, they stay open through Monday July 20. After that everything closes until August 31. 3. New onboarding, and a new AI experience: The ADHD Operating Manual. The first section is free for every member, so you can try it before you decide. The full version is $27 right now instead of $99. Temporary. And that $27 is one single payment, no subscription. It also opens the chat with my AI twin: three messages a day, every day, all the way until the challenge starts on August 31. Ask it why you keep doing that one thing, and it answers with everything it already knows about you from your own reports. So tell me where you're at. Vote in the poll, it takes one tap. And if you're coming August 31, type a comment below and include the word: CHALLENGE and let us know how excited you are 🥳 With love, 💛 Jim

Water I was created to swim in
I just finished the first section of my ADHD Operating Manual, and it gave me a completely different perspective on something I’ve wrestled with for years. I’ve tried planners, productivity apps, routines, notebooks, accountability partners, and more, always believing the next system would finally be “the one.” What I realized is that I don’t naturally think in straight lines—I think in connections. One idea leads to another, and before I know it, I’ve mapped out an entire vision. For a long time, I thought those tools weren’t working because I lacked discipline. Now I’m wondering if I was trying to fit my mind into systems that weren’t designed for the way I naturally think. The biggest takeaway for me wasn’t that I need another planner. It was realizing that I need systems that reduce my mental load instead of asking me to carry everything in my head. That shift alone changed the way I see myself. I’m leaving this first section with a little more compassion for myself and a lot more curiosity about how my brain actually works. Maybe I don’t need to become a better tree climber. Maybe I just need to build my life in the water I was created to swim in. Has anyone else had a moment during this exercise where you realized you weren’t failing—you were simply trying to succeed in a system that didn’t fit the way you naturally think? I’d love to hear your experience.

Any advice or tips for studying and retaining information with AuDHD?
I’m starting to prepare for some pretty technically complex certifications and am looking for some guidance if any of you have found a method that works best for you. Some context… the certification is based on a technical space I have not worked with much up until this point. I typically am more of a hands on learner, but I don’t have hands on experience in this new system, so that’s the biggest challenge. I tend to struggle grasping concepts in a classroom setting or if I’m reading a textbook. I prefer self paced individual study. I have a pretty average iq, but I have processing delays so it usually takes me double the amount of time to grasp a topic than the average person. Self paced learning lets me learn at my own speed, rather than getting stressed and frustrated and feeling like I’m running to keep up with everyone else. Right now I am using AI to kind of tutor me, answer questions, and create study material for me. I have it create notecards and I use the Anki notecard app to study topics. I would love to hear if anyone has any concepts, practices, or apps/websites that they have found to add value!
