We are getting the materials for the next section today, so I can start working on it right away or tomorrow if the weather permits. I also manage to work on my personal project, not as much as I would like to, but a little at a time; it's better than nothing at all. 📅 Daily Check-in - July 5, 2026 💭 Reflection: "For those that are wondering, I'm still here. Heavy rain last night meant that I couldn't post yesterday's checkin. I went in this morning to pull it up and it turns out that it didn't even save it. So I'll cover yesterday & today. Yesterday was all about getting my eldest son packed ready for his international football tournament in Christchurch. Because of the heavy snow warnings for Southland, I had to make sure he had thermals as well - something he claimed he wouldn't need - I think I know who's right! He's never experienced true cold before, coming from the winterless north. Today we're travelling down to Auckland for another football game. Tomorrow I'm taking the boys to Auckland Domestic terminal to see my eldest off. It'll be a weird feeling - he's growing up so fast. By the end of yesterday, I was feeling exhausted and my youngest was the opposite mixed with boredom! I can't win lol.
