Was that a good thing?
I started an instream ads campaign. 70% view rate - 1.4% CTR. 10% of all people watched the whole video which was 20 minutes+. Targeting was limited to age and country only. Unfortunately, I cannot track conversions. I was unsettled by the fact that the ads ran on relatively simple channels. That's why I paused it and created a new one with Custom Intent. Was that a good thing? Or was the view rate and CTR an indication of the right target group? Please help.

The ‘Online Marketing Doomsday Clock’ Is Ticking, And Hormozi Just Got Us Closer To The End…
It takes longer to build an empire than a hut. So don’t expect an empire on a hut timeline…” This comes from the man of the hour, Alex Hormozi. Now, in case you opened your Facebook feed after a chill, relaxing weekend, and began wondering what happened and WHY everyone's raving about Alex… Here's the scoop: Hormozi did a BRILLIANT launch where he announced his new book + gave away his entire lead gen systems and processes for absolutely nothing in return. $0,00, including taxes. …But was that what really happened? …Is Alex Hormozi just that good of a guy? …Probably, something else is brewing… …Because I always go back to this thought when something looks too good to be true: "You pay with either time OR money…" So, nothing's really free… …And if anything, Alex Hormozi being the world-class marketer he IS, he knows this pretty well… He knows that every single solution creates a NEW problem… And just like many smart marketers have said in the past, and I repeat… The problem is not PRODUCTION. The problem most businesses face is CONSUMPTION. It's not that you don't have enough leads… It's that you can't attract BETTER leads. The problem is not that you're not running enough ads… The problem is that the ads you're running are not good enough. And I could go on for ages and keep rambling about this launch for a while… …But I may not say anything you don't already know or have read by now. But there is something you may not have noticed… And that is: Hormozi just made DFY offers 10x more valuable. At the very least. Why? Because knowing that EVERYONE and their moms will use these lead gen systems, chances are, they'll stop working in no time… Because once your audience realizes they're in a sales process, it stops working… (This happens 90% of the time, at least) …So the problem stops being "How do I attract enough leads"... …And becomes "How do I attract BETTER leads that become CUSTOMERS with LESS RESISTANCE"... …And we happen to be in that same business.

Ironically, I still expect most people to miss the point and miss the mark. All of this information that he shared has been all over the Internet for years and he just brought it all into one place, simplified it, and shared it in more dramatic way. Most people were still not giving things away for free for the right reason, most people were still not aware of how to make good or valuable content, and most people honestly aren't going to put in the effort it takes to stand out whether they have a clear road map or not. I think he just made life easier for the hard workers, and for the smarter marketers who already had a good offer or are going to be able to create one, but I still expect a lot of people to do all of the right things in the wrong way.
Believe It Or Not, There Are Agencies That Will ‘Kidnap’ Your Ad Account 🤯
This is based on a true story. The characters are fictional, and names were changed to protect identities.However, be warned… …The situation is real, and there are actual agency owners who think this is "the right way"... …But you know better (or I hope so), and after reading the next couple paragraphs, you’ll never be taken for a fool again. So here’s the (horror) story to start off this Tuesday with some valuable education… A couple days ago, I got a message from a guy. Let’s call him Mark. Mark was mad at his ad agency because the results were… Not very uplifting. You see, his sales team’s calendar was becoming drier than the Arizona desert, and you could almost hear the crickets singing whenever Google Calendar was opened. So, like most clients do, Mark thought his business was crashing harder than Wall Street on Black Monday."What should I do? My closers are STARVING" Mark yelled at his computer. So he picked up his phone… …And dialed in 1-800-I-WANT-TO-SCALE… (That’s Adspend’s number BTW) Lucky for him, I was the one who took the call, and listened… …Turns out the problem was way bigger than Mark thought it was… …His ad agency turned out to be like TERRORISTS. They had his account under a triangle choke, and even though he was tapping the mat yelling for mercy, they just kept on ignoring the pain. Why? Because for some sick reason, they thought Mark’s ad account was THEIRS and that they had the final say in what went in, out, and anywhere between when it came to that account. So let me break character for a second… What’s going on with agencies lately? 🤯 "You can’t get access to your ads account" "You don’t need more than 2-3 ads" "We HATE Slack. We’ll send you an email once, maybe every two weeks" …Really? That’s the standard nowadays? That’s our "enemy"? Anyway… Back to the story… So Mark knew there was something "off" and it was not just his budget. For some weird reason, Mark had the suspicion that these weren’t common practices.

And that was Reason #2. So, let’s bring it back a little bit to explain why we did what we did… As you may know, Brian, we don’t just work in a DFY market. We’re not just in the “people management” business. We don’t just create ads that sell like a Florida snow cone on a hot summer’s day.We create ASSETS.And we take pride in our craft.… That’s why we decided to launch a Mastermind… …But not JUST a Mastermind… …We created something that resembles our core values, which are all connected with personal development, constant self-improvement, and world-class delivery of our expertise… …So we could ‘spread’ this contagious hunger we all have at Adspend.com with a select group of Young Marketers, Business Owners, Coaches, and Consultants… …Allowing them to create brag-worthy YouTube Ads people LOVE watching and produce PREMIUM leads for bargain prices. Absolutely beautiful. Made me want to get my butt in gear on creating YouTube videos/ads for myself. Tbh, I do practically nothing with YT ads for myself or my clients (GAds for small businesses), and I'm a 34 year old with 5 kids so I'm not fired up by the party idea, but this is inspiring and the thought of collaboration with talented young marketers is definitely a motivating piece.
