Get Your Eyes off the Competition's Butt
#Build a personal monopoly I recently completed reading "The Millionaire Fastlane" and found it to be an incredible book. The principles shared in the book are timeless, and the author does an excellent job of synthesizing them with numerous real-life examples. One particular passage that resonated with me and I believe is worth sharing is: "Forget about your competition 95% of the time. The other 5% should be used to exploit their weaknesses and differentiate your business. If you forget about your competition, you're forced to focus on your business, which is to innovate, skew value, and win over the minds of your customers. And when you fill needs, and your army of customers grows, something suddenly happens: Everyone follows you." That's the best way to build your personal monopoly.

I agree
What are some of the MOST valuable purchases you have EVER made?
I have a birthday coming up and I’m wondering what to get. What are the items/ experiences that have brought you the highest ROI? Can be anything.

Oura Ring: It helped me become more disciplined in activities & sleep. As a creative person I was a mess, I went to bed when I wanted without giving too much priority to them.
Knowledge Management; What I started doing...and you? 📚
Some time ago I asked for your advice on having a system for organizing notes and general ideas. In the last week I build one system that perfectly fit with my requirements so today I'm more than happy to share it with you: ------- Context:🔍 I use two tools: Notion & Obsidian. Notion is more goal oriented (project, deadlines, task, collaborations on projects). Obsidian is more knowledge oriented (idea, notes). I will talk only about how I organize Obsidian since it's the focus on this post. ------- I use 4 folder Capture, Organize, Distill, Express and the process is pretty much this: Capture-->Organize-->Distill-->Express It's also know as CODE method. Step 1) Capture:✍️ In this folder I take notes of my thoughts, Idea, Page Savings from Blog Posts, Notes From Youtube Videos, Notes from Books, Notes from smarthphone ect... (You can automate a lot of these import with the right tools) Step 2) Organize:📚 To organize myself I start looking for similar contents in the "capture folder" to link together and the consequence is that I also start doing some space repetition. When I find many topics that talk about the same subjects I link them together so in the future it will be easy for me to switch between similar ones. Step 3) Distill:📑 Here I eliminate the superfluous to extract the juice from the information I just organized. This step helps me to do space repetion too since I will read again my organized content but know with they key insights more defined. Step 4) Express:📢 When you have lots of great distilled notes you can take and create quality contents (both for yourself and others). You can script your next blog post, newsletter or video. Let me know what you think! Also feel free to share your method or systems in the comments so we can help other members as well with the knowledge management 😉

@Gabriela Toderean You will no longer be able to do stuff without it when you get familiar with them 😉

@Hannah Weaver Thx for sharing! Exactly, but I prefer to use the notion database when there is something very clearly classifiable. Like books, projects or goals. In these weeks I notice that Obsidian (or roam research) is a game-changer on knowledge also because is more flexible.
If you lost all your knowledge today.......
If you lost all your knowledge and experience today, which 3 SPECIFIC things do you want to remember ?

Remember how to learn. Remember that you can achive anything but not everything. Remember to take action every day.

@Shubham Yadav Exactly, that's because as learners we learn but most of the time we don't practice what we learn
