training split/diet
Hi my name is fin I am 19 I am from the United States, and this is month 4 of training calisthenics, really excited to be a part of this community. This is my current split: I train with weights one day with two days of rest in-between, and on the two days in between those are the days I focused on calisthenics, I can do 18 pull ups, but if I go to complete failure its about 22, when it comes to push ups my max has been 57, my training in terms of reps and sets consists of 5 sets of what ever movement I am doing to failure. In terms of calories I try and aim for 5000 plus because I am on a bulk for the next 2 months, Any ideas in this I can tweak or improve on to be more efficient?

my split is train full upper body with weights, then the upper body will not get trained for another 2 days. the day after I will it legs, and do pushups and pull ups usually 3 sets to failure, then a full rest day and repeat

my long term goal is to build a back that honestly looks like a muscular turtle shell, what your advice on the training I should do and what res I should take?
Discovered a new workout split !!!
So , before when I asked which workout split I should follow, I used to 4 days in a week , So it was like this : Monday - legs and core Tuesday - shoulder and back Wednesday - active rest Thursday - chest and tricep Friday - skills day ( where I train for skills like handstand, crow pose to handstand , do some pull ups , l sits , explosive like clapping push ups and pistol squats, so it's like a full body workout) Then Saturday and Sunday active rest ( coz I like do some sort of sports daily ) But now , now , I thought of a better routine, however I m thinking, this may be too much . That's why I need your people 's advice. I m thinking to do this in my routine : Monday - shoulder and back ( in morning) in evening - abs and boxing one hour workout Tuesday - chest and tricep ( in morning) , in evening - abs and boxing one hour workout Wednesday - skills day ( in morning), in evening - LEGS and boxing one hour workout Thursday ( in morning) - shoulder and back, in evening - abs and boxing one hour workout Friday - ( in morning) - chest and tricep, in evening - abs and boxing one hour workout Saturday and Sunday rest . Is this actually a good routine or it is too much from my earlier routine and a big skip . ( I do swimming once a week for like 30-40 mins ) So , pls tell, I m Waitin !!!

that looks great, when do you train biceps?
Yuh
How do I progress my physique, as I've been told to do cardio and to main gain, but my abs are getting more defined, and I want to have visible abs then get bigger

my advice is go on a bulk, its gonna be uncomfortable at first to watch your abs disappear, although keep training them on the bulk (very important) then after your at the peak of the bulk with a bit of fat cut, your muscle mas with have increased every where else and you will have visable abs once you shed the fat. (if you are going for a long term bulk to a clean bulk and just put on muscle not fat as well, but that usually takes much longer) good luck brother, hope this was helpful!
Pain during push ups
After my push day I feel soreness in my chest and tricep as usual , but I also feel soreness in my scapula and lats, is this normal ?

also, doing pushups engages about 12% of your back muscles, the majority of those being your lats, if it feels like you've got a good pump after a hard set of pushups don't confuse it for negative pain 💪
