🌿 7-Day Challenge Accountability Thread
Hey everyone, whether you’re starting fresh because you just arrived or you’re restarting like me to re-establish your practice, this is our spot. The 7-day challenge always feels more grounding when we move together, so this post will stay pinned for our daily check-ins. Let’s show up, keep it simple, and take it one day at a time. ✅ How to Check In Each Day After you finish your practice, follow these three steps: 1. State which day of the challenge you’re on. Example: Day 1, Day 3, Day 7, etc. 2. How you felt before and after. One short sentence for each. 3. Screenshot or photo: A quick picture of your screen, TV, or you practicing. Feel free to leave encouragement for others. A little support goes a long way. ✨ Sample Check-In 1. Day: 1 2. Before: Feeling tight 3. After: Calm and relaxed 4. (Photo attached)

@Lucas Brun What a great choice! The 8 Pieces of Brocade is one of my favorite Qigong practices so far. It really helps set a strong foundation through the versatile movements this lesson offers. Great job on almost finishing the challenge!
Day 4
So much to learn. But I’m letting myself not know what I don’t know yet!

A new chapter in my life.
Tuning in from Eureka California. Brand new to Qigong and Tai Chi. Am 80 years old and in good shape, want to preserve and improve my flexibility, balance and strength. Finished first two classes of seven, looking forward to tomorrow. Suggestions welcome.

Welcome, Bruce! It sounds very inspiring. I admire your attitude and the way you take care of your health! My one suggestion is to focus on the process rather than the results, and the 7-day challenge is a great place to cultivate this mindset. Focus on the concept of Song, giving your full attention to each movement is more than enough. Allow the process to unfold at its own pace🌱
The best laid plans of mice and men...
Day 4 didn't go to plan whatsoever. My husband needed surgery that evolved into a much more complex situation. So unfortunately, my lesson and day 4 was missed. However, I found myself often focusing on breath, on SONG, to relax, and let go. These tools gave aid a very difficult and stressful day. Day 5 may be difficult as well as tomorrow requires another early return to the hospital. But one day, one breath, one challenge at a time.

I’m sorry to hear that. That sounds like a very emotional situation. First, don’t worry at all about missing days. In moments like this, the lesson becomes life itself. The fact that you turned to your breath and to remember the concept of Song during this time shows that the practice is ALREADY living in you. From my perspective, that’s far more meaningful than completing a form or a routine. Because what’s the use of all these practices if we can’t apply them to our daily life? I’m really glad you shared this. Sending positive energy to you and your husband 🙏
Tai Chi walking is so under rated
@Kirby Mannon is so ahead of the game. I'm seeing Tai Chi walking everywhere. YouTube, Reddit, Facebook groups. The thing is, Rooted Alchemy is where I really became aware of it. Sure, I'd heard about it, and it was never a big deal. For me, it was a "so what" practice. How wrong I was. Sometimes, its really nice to be wrong. Thank you Sonny.

“Sometimes it’s good to be wrong.” I love this so much and how you put it like that. You just shifted my perspective haha Thank you for sharing your wisdom and expanding my understanding about life. About Tai Chi walking, we’ve actually been very curious about this “phenomenon” that’s been circulating online lately. (I'm also talking about all the ridiculous Tai Chi ads👀) We wanted to see if there was any connection between the trend and the lessons we’ve been sharing on our channel. Although we're not sure we have started the trend (I'm not sure what other team members think but I DO think we did😂), we’re definitely certain that we contributed to it! haha
