Walk of peace
It is not about TaiChi and Qigong, but in the same line and also so important for the whole world and to feed the positive energy towards peace. Did you hear about the walk of peace in US? A group of 18 - 19 monks, often accompanied by their rescue dog Aloka, who has become known as the “Peace Dog.” They are connected to the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Temple in Fort Worth, Texas. They live a traditional Buddhist life, guided by meditation, compassion, and mindfulness. They are walking from Fort Worth, Texas to Washington, D.C. Through the southeastern part of the US. It is a journey of about 2,300 miles (around 3,700 kilometers). They started on October 26, 2025, and plan to arrive in Washington, D.C. around mid-February 2026. 'It is a message of peace, loving-kindness, and compassion, shown simply by their presence on the road. Step by step.' It’s the choice to make peace visible without arguing for it. No slogans to debate, no demand to agree. Just bodies moving through the landscapes, day after day, letting presence do the talking. They are now just north of South Carolina, moving through central to northern North Carolina (about 86–87 days into the journey). Every day, thousands of people come to greet them. It is deeply moving to see how many people carry them and this intention in their hearts ☸️ 🙏 https://walkforpeace.short.gy/live-map dhammacetiya.com https://www.facebook.com/walkforpeaceusa/

This is amazing. Thank you for sharing this. And It's crazy that the third lady in the line is someone I attended a Vipassana silent meditation with a year ago. She was one of the assistant teachers while I was there. Thank you for this powerful reminder!
Consistent Progress----and Focused Patience
I am enjoying having such a broad inventory of strength, agility, balance, and stamina routines to utilize as I work to prepare my body to relearn the Tai Chi forms. This morning started with the '10 minute Qi Gong" then another 10 or so minutes of the 'Do this Every Day" Tai Chi warmup. Then 12 minutes of 'Ice Walking' from the kitchen, through the dining room and back and forth down the hallway. All inside as the outside temp is '22 feels like 12' Fahrenheit. Short term goals are 30 minutes combined Ocean and Ice walking, 30 minutes of follow along with the videos of Qi Gong and Tai Chi. Long term goals, recovering the ability to execute the Tai Chi short and long forms to the best an older person can by this time next year. I feel very fortunate to have found Rooted Alchemy. Your video presentation is top shelf after several that frustrated me. Thank you for your fine work

Thank you for sharing this. It’s really encouraging to read and love how you combing those. Pleasure to be part of your Tai Chi and Qigong journey!
Walking after sessions
This morning was the QiGong winter session. Wanted to say that I have noticed a difference in the way I walk after these exercises. What I was very surprised at was, last evening I was early for an appointment so I was walking slowly. I then realised that I was not striking the floor with my heal but rather with more of a flat foot. I had not intended to do Tai Chi walking but it was something that happened.

That’s a great observation! It’s a meaningful sign that the practice is starting to integrate naturally.🌱
Live Sessions
Hey Sonny, I am a new member and working on learning how to get around. I have done the 7 day but I’m still on 0% for everything do I need to push a button to get credit. I have been doing the live sessions. I started with December and trying to catch up with January. Do you have a suggestion on where to start? I just figured out how to get to January. One more thing can you get closer to the camera on the live sessions or does it not work that way. I love the live sessions but like the recorded better because I can see you better and love the different angles.

Hi Libby, welcome to the community! Regarding the progression button, at the moment the only way to track your progress is by checking it manually—that’s simply how the platform is set up. It’s not mandatory or required in any way. The intention is just to help you stay consistent and keep your practice on track, so feel free to use it (or not) whatever feels right for you. As for the recorded live sessions, December is a great place to start, and I’m glad to hear you’ve already begun there. You can continue and move forward to January as we keep adding new live sessions. The order isn’t critical—each month and session is designed to support and supplement your practice✨
