I thought I would write a proper introduction after I completed the trial period, though I knew after a couple of days I would be sticking around. I live in London in the UK. I've been practicing Qigong and a little Tai Chi for over 30 years probably closer to 40 years. My practice over the years has been more on than off. Recently its been more off than on. Its nice to get back to "chi" work again. The break has rekindled my enthusiasm, as has this wonderful place. I love the classic forms. I have at times practiced some of the more modern forms, though I always return to the classics which in my opinion you can't go wrong with them. I've spent time focusing on one or maybe two practices, with the idea that only practicing these sets I would go deeper and deeper into the practices. The only issue I had with the process was boredom. I would end up procrastinating or hurrying it up. I lost the enjoyment of the practice. My outlook now is to learn and play with a few different forms. It gives me options. Maybe I need to calm down, maybe I want to do a set for joy. Maybe an active form, maybe a gentle form, maybe an old favourite. There is a saying "learn 100 forms and forget 75" In other words keep the keepers. I love everything about this place. The lessons, the community. I'm thrilled to be here, I know I'm going to get a load of value here and I hope I can reciprocate. Thank you for having me.
