@Patrick Cunningham yes That's the most logical thing to do and I usually do it until I forget about it and just go along with what I see. Actually, it's a good brain training too.😂
Arthritis
I have arthritis in my knee and shoulder joints. This limits my range of motion in some of the moves. Sometimes I have a better range of motion than others. Does anyone else deal with this? Mike

@Mike Minore he has really good exercises. And....a little bit in the line of what we do here. For me it was wonderfull how pain was decoupled from a specific part of the body as determining the way I moved. The body still speaks, but it no longer dictates the whole story. Not fixing, not fighting, just allowing sensation without letting it collapse the field of attention. You cannot command the mind to do that. You have to feel it, to be aware of it through exercises that guide you in it. Finally it disapeared. And when itis comibg up I repeat the exercises on his site. Since I do a regular pracice of qigong and TaiChi both sides work positiv together
Walk of peace
It is not about TaiChi and Qigong, but in the same line and also so important for the whole world and to feed the positive energy towards peace. Did you hear about the walk of peace in US? A group of 18 - 19 monks, often accompanied by their rescue dog Aloka, who has become known as the “Peace Dog.” They are connected to the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Temple in Fort Worth, Texas. They live a traditional Buddhist life, guided by meditation, compassion, and mindfulness. They are walking from Fort Worth, Texas to Washington, D.C. Through the southeastern part of the US. It is a journey of about 2,300 miles (around 3,700 kilometers). They started on October 26, 2025, and plan to arrive in Washington, D.C. around mid-February 2026. 'It is a message of peace, loving-kindness, and compassion, shown simply by their presence on the road. Step by step.' It’s the choice to make peace visible without arguing for it. No slogans to debate, no demand to agree. Just bodies moving through the landscapes, day after day, letting presence do the talking. They are now just north of South Carolina, moving through central to northern North Carolina (about 86–87 days into the journey). Every day, thousands of people come to greet them. It is deeply moving to see how many people carry them and this intention in their hearts ☸️ 🙏 https://walkforpeace.short.gy/live-map dhammacetiya.com https://www.facebook.com/walkforpeaceusa/

Tai Chi Chuan History
This is a famous photo the Taiwan Tai Chi Chuan Association started in 1949 by Cheng Man Ching. In this photo are many famous tai chi teachers, including my grand teacher Tchoung Ta-Chen who is sitting in the second row. Although spelled differently when their names were translated to English, Tchoung and Cheng share the same family name and were occasional training partners in Tai Wan. They sometimes were referred to as "Big Cheng" and "Little Cheng" because they both were skilled in push hands. More history of Tchoung Ta-Chen can be found in the book "Seattle Tai Ji History Explained". He lived a fascinating life. He spent time in the nationalist military and then as a bodyguard for Chiang Kai Shek. After living in Taiwan for sometime he immigrated to South Africa to teach Tai Ji and open a business. His success there paved the way for him to immigrate to North America.

@Kirby Mannon Very interesting that history and your journey in the whole martial arts thing. Great to see all the masters on those old photo's. What I understood is that you just recently started with this online school ? but that you are a teacher for a long time in this tradition? Would you like to tell a little more about that? And what makes you choose these styles in particular?
