Today I’m seven years sober!
I’m grateful for every day of my sobriety. And so glad to be on this entrepreneurial journey with you all. Looking forward to helping others stay sober and live their version of Recovery 2.0!

Amazing, Virginia!!
Increasing Motivation...
My motivation has been low these past few weeks. Lots of healing is going on. I'm getting so much better at listening to my body and leading from that space instead of the push-through mind space. This morning, I was practicing my book chapter for my audio, and my body was telling me it wanted to move. Weight lifting has been a hard no for my body right now, so I leaned into the desire to do a headstand and used this video of @Cate Stillman's as inspiration. 20 minute yoga practice. (https://www.skool.com/club-thrive/classroom/2b06bfbb?md=1177071c2cae4f5d9b71bcfe8b5eced2) You can find it under the body thrive section in Club Thrive - Q3 - Habit 4) It has always been one of my favourites. And I surprised myself and did the whole thing. I feel great! Off to do a 9DMT Trip breath workshop. :) When I get home, I'll record my chapter and send out a couple of emails. thank you for sharing, Carman! I got sick a few weeks ago and I have been dragging ever since. I had to bite the bullet and get some pharmaceuticals for my asthma- hoping to feel better soon. Thinking about inviting a friend to do a yoga session with me or something. One positive note is the steps I have been taking business-wise have been very effective, even if I have been tired and less ‘efficient’ than I hoped to be 🙂
Breakthrough Free Talk
Gave a free talk on the Microbiome and have made at least 3 apts for strategy sessions. It is my birthday and the talk went really well. I started with their what and their Why. Reallly focused on their pain points. Got them to book a session. I have their text or emails to get them to book a session if they dont do it themselves. Then sold the vacation. @Valerie Hwang Beck @Cate Stillman @Nina Pullella @Paula Pister My confidence is finally getting stronger. Thank you, Cate and crew! My upcoming cleanse has 8 people including current members.

Happy late birthday! Can’t wait to hear how your sessions go
I'm "starting over"
I'm going back to CORE 1 and rewriting my offer blueprint for my Club Phoenix. Or rather, writing an unapologetic and honest revision of my vision for the club. This past year has been a huge learning experience not only about the club business model but what this opens up for me as a wellness pro and beyond. I've realized the truth of "If it's for everyone, it's for no one." As a former good girl people pleaser, it's taken a lot of dismantling "not self" to realize how much I was still trying to work with a "safe" generic avatar. Trying to portray myself as safe and welcoming to everyone meant that I felt pressure to hide the most interesting and sometimes "ugly" parts of me that have guided the most significant contributions to my own healing process. But what the past two months have taught me is that the people who know and love me...they know me and love me for my bold choices, my ability to be with people who are different, to meet them where they are at...because I know what it's like to feel like an outcast. I know what it feels like to hide my own light to try to fit in with everyone else, and the consequences of doing so. A few budding wins/lessons: 1. I created a wellness program for the travel company I used to work for to help prepare their guests for travel in Japan. We created a wellness channel in their Discord - and today that channel has exploded with conversation in a way I haven't even seen in my own club. People sharing wellness tips, asking questions...People there already know me as a travel expert and now I get to integrate my knowledge and presence as a wellness expert. We haven't even released the program and the engagement has already exceeded my expectations! I will also get paid for every time a person signs up for the company's trips as long as they continue to provide the program. 2. I didn't come into WPA with a solid audience/community/client base for wellness. And I've been struggling to create one. But since I returned from Japan in December I interviewed two of my travel guests from the tour about heavy metal, community and wellness and I've gotten genuine interest and engagement. I've also realized I've been neglecting the people who know and admire me for being a dancer, hip hop artist, educator and Japan travel expert. And I am starting to see that it is in the intersection of arts, cultural exchange and wellness that I can really thrive in offering something unique, valuable, and worth sharing.

Valerie I really appreciate this share. Your story about your wellness program is amazing! And what a cool idea- I have definitely noticed people try to improve their health ‘for’ an upcoming trip. I also appreciate your share about not feeling that you had a stable client base- I have been feeling that way too. One of my big takeaways from Mexico is that I really need to establish myself in the community I recently moved to in order to grow my club.. instead of clinging to the community and past client base from my hometown. Congratulations on the strength and clarity to rewrite your offer! If you have finished it I would love to see it. I am catching up on WPA posts so I may find it anyway if you’ve already posted it 😂

@Valerie Hwang Beck oh my god 🤦🏻‍♀️ I wonder why it was at the top of my feed!! Thank you for sharing your offer I can’t wait to look through it
I tried something I saw Cate do!
And now I have 5 sales calls lined up for this next week! At the Colorama conference, Cate was scheduling people there on the spot for short consults. Then she would either pitch, or have them schedule a call. Today, I had an event that usually gives me a good amount on my newsletter, not because it is big, but because it a place my avatar enjoys. During the 5 hour event, I gave 8 free 10 minute mini consults. 2 were Not a good fit for club. The other 6 I had them scan my QR code and book on the spot to have a deeper discussion this next week. I created urgency because we will be out of town Spring break next week, and more than that, we BAMFAM'd so I could go ahead and approve their requested times. Only 1 did not have her phone to check her calendar, so I sent her a text with the link to book and told her I'll follow up in the next day or two. So Mock Sales session.... call 1 was essentially in person. So, I did what Cate said, and what she modeled, and now I have 5 leads! I also have a talk on Thursday! Let's see how many calls I can book from that one! I can't do consults while I'm presenting, so we'll see how I can maybe duplicate this for that setting. I'll keep y'all updated! And thanks @Cate Stillman ! I'm finally getting it!
