My Facebook business page is 10 years old, and up until September I only had a couple hundred people in total. On October 18, I received a notification that I was up to 500 people and I thought that was quite a jump. I didn’t pay much attention, but then I looked again a few days later and saw an increase to 3500 or so. I realized something good was happening, and continued to grow 1000-1500 people every day until i approached 50k a few weeks ago where things became stagnant. Then after one post that went viral, I gained 11,000 people in one day! The numbers have importance to me, but what’s more important is there are several people here because of the explosion of post visibility on Facebook, which I had ruled out as useless. This reminded me of something important.
There have been times in my life where what I’ve already done, what I was doing, and even who I am have been declared as useless. I know exactly how that feels. As I’ve evaluated, tried, failed, discerned, updated my try, and kept going - the seeds of struggle took root and began to grow. This includes how I rebuilt my own body, and how I slowly began coming back from enormous personal losses. I have learned to do two things better than I used to.
1) Stay available to possibilities by not giving up
2) Learn, and Update My Try
Sometimes, things might take 10 years before they bare fruit in less fertile places.
