My first instinct? “I want 3 sopes.” What I actually did: ✔️ ONE corn sope ✔️ 93% ground beef ✔️ Mixed veggies + cabbage ✔️ Red salsa ✔️ Beans ✔️ Second plate protein-style (no sopes) Dinner (942 cal) 71.1g carbs | 31.7g fat | 79.1g protein 📊 Total Calories: 1,995 Goal: 1,700 ➡️ Still in a calorie deficit. No guilt. No restriction. No “I’ll start over Monday.” Just awareness and intention. And the BEST part? I hadn’t seen my partner’s brother and his wife in months. They looked at me and said: “Wow 👀 Lena you look skinny. What are you doing?” I smiled and said, “Thank you for noticing. I’m working hard — focused on nutrition and working out.” Then siblings being siblings… They roasted my partner 😂 “What happened to you? Lena is looking skinny and you’re still big bro 😎 Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years are over! What’s your excuse? Waiting for President’s Day to lose weight?” My partner: “Hey man I lost 20 lbs! Lena has me tracking food and making my ass go to the gym.” 😂 We laughed. It was love. It was fun. And that moment? That’s what this is about.
