Challenge Day 5: The #Connections Section ๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ
Think of someone in your life who is in need of help, community, knowledge, or support. What kind of Skool group would help them? Then either search the Communities tab to find something you can recommend to them, or write a post asking if there is anyone who is offering a community that could help. Letโ€™s start reaching outside of our own immediate worlds to start connecting those we know and love with amazing Skool communities that could bring richness to their lives. Comment below to share any connections that you are able to make! And donโ€™t forget to join us on Tuesday for our meet and greet, the PERSONALS, where you get to talk all about your community and who you help as well as learn more about others.

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! ๐Ÿ˜‰ This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS. To learn How to Make Your Classifeds' Posts Work Harder for You, check out this masterclass by one of our moderators, @Faith Adebayo

#Breaking News: Not Every Baby Animal Needs to Be Rescued
One of the biggest mistakes well-meaning people make is assuming every baby animal they find has been abandoned. Many mothers leave their babies alone while they search for food. Deer, rabbits, and many birds do this every day. If the baby isn't injured and isn't in immediate danger, the best thing you can often do is watch from a distance and give the parents a chance to return. Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is simply let wildlife be wild. If you'd like more simple tips like this, along with inspiring animal stories and trusted organizations making a difference, I'd love to welcome you to Empowering Animals.

How I Lost $100,000 In My Community Exit
Now that I've had an exit with my first paid community (back in '21), I've learned the hard way how business buyers think about our businesses. If I'd understood how buyers look at communities back then, I could have gotten $100,000 more in my sale. Yes, it burns. And I'm here to help other founders avoid my mistake! Right after I sold, the buyer fired about half my staff. Eliminated what I thought were vital member services, including our job board and our weekend helpdesk hours. At first, I was furious. Now, I get it. To them, a business isn't their baby. They're not up nights worrying about the members' success. It's all dollars and cents to them! They looked at my business... and then they bought it. Because it was a valuable asset. Then, they made it MORE PROFITABLE. Because they're just in business to maximize profits. That's how they get the money to buy the next business. The painful part? If *I* had done that cost-cutting before I sold, I could have had a more profitable business. That's what your sale price is based on -- net profits. NOT gross revenue (which everyone talks about endlessly here on Skool!). Not only would I have had a higher sale price in my exit... I also could have taken home more cash every year, for many years before I sold, by trimming the extras. What could you cut in your business that would bring focus and make you more profitable? Want to talk with me about ALL the things buyers look for? I'm currently doing FREE calls for $10K+ MRR Skool owners (but not for much longer)! Not quite there yet? Come on down toย Community Growth Academyย and check out my course,ย Built to Sell. I unpack everything buyers look for in an acquisition and all my hard lessons learned!

Can I challenge you with one thought?
If you're trying to grow your business, get in front of more people, and create more opportunities, speaking might be the strategy you're overlooking. People can't hire you, refer you, partner with you, or invite you to speak if they don't know you exist. And before you picture yourself standing on a big stage, that's not the only kind of speaking I'm talking about. I'm talking about podcasts, workshops, webinars, networking events, training your team, and all the places where people get to experience you, not just your content. The challenge is that most people never get that far. They overthink it, let fear creep in, or decide they'll do it "someday." If that sounds familiar, spend an hour with me. In Speak to Be Seen: Expand Your Reach, Grow Your Impact, and Attract More Opportunities, we'll uncover what's really been holding you back, why speaking is such a powerful visibility strategy, and a few impactful techniques that go far beyond the typical public speaking advice. Tuesday, July 7th 12:00โ€“1:00 PM Central (Chicago Time) Free โ€ข Live on Zoom No Replay If you're ready to stop talking yourself out of opportunities and start saying "yes" to them, reserve your free seat here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/QveFcvnlQSq04dZ4_NpSOA#/registration
