🌟 There's a new masterclass you won't want to miss!
Hosted by our own @Mimi Ramsey , Why Your Promo Posts Are Being Ignored - And How To Add Personality So People Actually Give a Toss! is a masterclass you absolutely won't want to miss on Feb 27. Classifieds moderator @Faith Adebayo gave an amazing masterclass on how to do posts that are SEO rich and get you seen outside of Skool (the replay can be found in her ad in the classroom) and now Classifieds moderator Mimi Ramsey is teaching about how to make connections inside (and outside) of the community so that you can make sales. There are two types of posts that get the most traction in this community: those that provide value and those that tell a story (sharing an opinion helps too!). Luckily for us, we have two moderators that specialize in both of these kinds of posts! Now, here's more from Mimi: __________________________________________________________________ Why Your Promo Posts Are Being Ignored (And How To Add Personality So People Actually Give A Toss) Let’s be frank. OBVS. Most promo posts aren’t being ignored because your offer is rubbish. They’re being ignored because they’ve been SAFE-IFIED. Polite-ified. Professional-ified. Stripped of the very thing that makes someone actually CARE. And I see this ALL THE EFFIN’ TIME. I’ve been doing businessing 25+ years. Dance. Yoga. Meditation. Events. Promo. Agency world. Online since 2017. I’ve built epic communities from scratch. I’ve helped humans go from “uhm I don’t know what to say” to “HOLY GUACAMOLE THAT ACTUALLY LANDED” in about five minutes flat. I can spot a personality-stripped promo post from a mile off. PFFFFT. It’s like when someone says “I’m fine” and you know they’re absolutely not fine. Same energy. Here’s what usually happens… You’ve got something TOTES EPIC AF. You care about it. You believe in it. But when it’s time to promote, you tidy yourself up. You soften the edges. You remove the opinion. You take out the humour. You take out the weird analogy. You take out the rant. You take out the “did she just say that?” bit.

The WATERCOOLER Drop-In Social is Today!
Our drop-social, which I am now affectionately referring to as the WATERCOOLER, is happening tomorrow. How it works: the Skool meeting room is open for 6 hours, and you can drop in or out as you are available. You might drop in to chat with 10 people, or you might be the only one there - that's part of the fun! To increase the likelihood of meeting people, tag them, send them a DM inviting them, or do as others like to do and take a screenshot of whoever you are chatting with, post it in the community, and invite others to join you. After the Frenzy today where you are making tons of connections and getting to know more people, why not drop in to the WATERCOOLER tomorrow and get to know each other more? Check the calendar for more information on times in your location!

Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS.

Yesterday I got triggered. And this is literally the work I do. 💜
Someone close to me made a comment that momentarily made me question myself. It wasn’t the words themselves. It was how quickly they touched an old self-doubt I thought I had already outgrown. That’s the part we don’t talk about enough. You can study this work. Research it. Build a community around regulation and identity shifts. And still feel something hit deeper than expected. 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬. It’s what you do next. Instead of reacting, defending, or shutting down, I paused. I asked myself: Why did that land? What belief did it touch? Is that belief still true? 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐩𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞. 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟. 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐟 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝. What do you do when you get triggered?

Normalize Selling in Your Community
Sometimes we don’t just need new strategies… we need a mindset reset. Here’s the some truth bombing 💣: Sometimes results aren’t our fault. And sometimes… they are. Most of the time? We’re just getting in our own way. If you have a negative mindset around selling, that’s the bottleneck. Not your audience. Not the algorithm. Not the platform. You. If you genuinely have something that serves your people, then selling is a service. Period. It’s not money grabbing. It’s not gatekeeping. It’s not being “salesy.” It’s service. And that includes having clarity on what to sell and how to sell it. When you truly frame it that way, something shifts. You actually want to sell more—because you understand that selling equals helping. Now let me ground this in reality. Across 7 launches (and relaunches) on Skool—even when I had as few as 44 members—I’ve almost always sold at least one offer during a launch. (First and third launch? No sales. Yep. That happened.) It wasn’t luck. It was how I approached selling. I work the launch with confidence, a heart of service, and a commitment to finish the process—even when it feels uncomfortable. I stay flexible, but I don’t disappear. I complete the launch. And that completion builds trust. Because knowing what to sell isn’t enough. You also have to know how to walk people through the decision process in a clear, repeatable way. Here are some truths you need to understand about selling inside a community: • You need to hit all parts of the buyer journey—even if people don’t read every post. • Repetition builds clarity. You must repeat your offer details. • Consistency builds trust. • You might hear crickets… but people are watching. • Selling should feel normal in your community—including at the beginning. • Not everyone needs to buy—but everyone should know you have offers. • Selling is service—stop apologizing for it. • Their buy-in lets you help them at a deeper level (this is good for both of you). • You pay for this platform. You are not required to give everything away for free.
