Here is another awesome fragrance from Lattafa's Niche Emerati collection. Antique is an OroentalWoody fragrance with a creamy coconut opening. Heck, the bottle along is worthy of a place on the shelf. Releases in 2024, with no accredited perfumer as the norm with these ME houses. The fragrance is structured as an Oriental Woody scent with a milky/aromatic character. The opening is the most unique part of the fragrance. It features a creamy, almost Chai tea vibe due to the combination of milk, spicy cardamom & tea. The fig adds a jammy, dark fruit sweetness that prevents it from being purely savory. As it dries down, the scent becomes more powdery, with Iris adding that lipstickyor suede-like texture. The vetiver adds a subtle earthy backbone that keeps the fragrance grounded and it's finished off with a gorgeous jasmine. The finale is warm and gourmand. Sandalwood enhances the milkiness from the top, while the caramel/tonka bean create a smooth, buttery sweetness that lingers. Musk and Amber complete the fragrance. Said to have a similar vibe to Gris Charnel? Performance is on point, 6 hrs is easily achieved. It creates a noticeable scent bubble without being cloying or offensive.
