Trying this one today from a great indie find at ScentFest SF. Roble is a one-man operation, school teacher by day, perfumer by night. He named his brand after the Roble Mountains he loves hiking (headed straight there after the event). That kind of story is exactly why the indie tables pulled us in more than the big names. Zanzibar Vanilla Ginger opens with a bright burst of fresh ginger, then settles into a smooth, spiced vanilla drydown. Great balance of fresh and warm, not your typical heavy vanilla. Priced really reasonably too, especially for something this well made from someone handling literally every step himself (perfuming, bottling, labeling). Full bottles aren’t out yet, but I’ll be first in line when they drop.
