YSL MYSLF Le Parfum (1/3)
I was hoping to try it out this Monday and continue the MYSLF Trinity, but my parcel got delayed so I tested it today. Hereâs what I think. The opening is lovely, with a burst of black pepper followed by the classic MYSLF orange blossom. The pepper disappears almost instantly. In this version the opening leans slightly bubblegummy, almost Invictus-like, which I actually enjoyed. The base brings vanilla, amber, powdery patchouli and woods. It feels semi linear because the top and middle notes remain close to the opening, while the base becomes the main character after the first 30 minutes, still anchored by the orange blossom. The fragrance is smooth and creamy, ambery sweet and floral. Very inoffensive and highly mass appealing. Already miles better than the EDP in terms of profile. Le Parfum feels much closer to Gucci Guilty Lover Edition than to MYSLF EDP. The performance is where Iâm less impressed. I get about an hour of projection at roughly one foot, then it settles closer, around four to eight inches. Four hours in, I can still smell it. I expect a total of 6-7 hours. It might benefit from overspraying, or you could simply treat it as an intimate scent. From experience, samples usually underperform on my skin, so Iâm not factoring it into the score. Overall Iâd give it a solid 8.5/10. It isnât groundbreaking, but if you want a modern, universally appealing, compliment friendly fragrance you can wear anywhere, it delivers. A great addition to almost any collection. Now I need to compare it directly with GG Love to see which one I prefer. One more left in the lineup, lâAbsolu, and then Iâll share my thoughts on the full range and possibly compare it with the GG line. What do you think of this one?
