New pick ups.
It’s been a minute since I posted on here lol. Since yesterday was birthday, figured I’d treat self. I forget to post a lot and also haven’t had a new purchase since Paradigme in February. Since I’m an ADG fanboy I had too pick up EDP Intense which might be most well rounded ADG. You know me the best ADG is one you have on lol, but I also let my curiosity get the best of me at Sephora lol. I was sampling a lot of scents and also stumbled on Ralph’s Club New York. One spray on the sample stick and I had to immediately buy. This might be the fresh and sweet Final Boss lol. Like some kind of Dragonball Z fusion of frags 😂 . I pick up bits of like MYSLF, LEMALE, ADG with like that BlackCurrant on top as well. I haven’t given either of these a full wear yet since I just got them this afternoon but these are first impressions. I’ll wear one of them tonight fully when I go out.
New pick ups.
Fragrance House Reviews. My Honest Take Next up Dior!!!
To me, Dior is the best designer fragrance house overall, and most designer houses are not really competing with them across the full lineup. Other brands may have one strong collection, one classic fragrance, or a few releases everyone talks about, but Dior has quality in several completely different categories. The Dior Homme line alone is stronger than the entire fragrance catalog of some designer houses. Dior Homme 2020 is clean, masculine, and easy to wear. Dior Homme Intense is smooth, dressed-up, and still one of the best designer fragrances for cooler weather. Dior Homme Parfum takes that DNA deeper, richer, and more mature. Then you still have Fahrenheit, Eau Sauvage, and the Sauvage line covering completely different styles. People criticize Sauvage because it is popular, including myself but popularity is not the same as low quality. It became popular because it projects, lasts, gets noticed, and smells good to the average person. A fragrance does not suddenly become bad because too many people wear it. I would rather admit that something works than pretend it is trash just because it is mainstream. Dior still has plenty of flaws. They reformulate fragrances, discontinue versions people love, recycle names, and make the Dior Homme lineup more confusing than it needs to be. Some releases are safe, and Sauvage has been stretched into more flankers than necessary. The private collection is also priced high enough that I would compare it directly against niche houses, where Dior does not always offer the best value or creativity. Even with those issues, Dior still has fewer weak releases than most designer houses. Chanel may be more refined, Hermès may be more artistic, and Guerlain may have more history, but Dior gives me the best overall balance of quality, masculinity, variety, performance, and wearability. And as a side note I really love Guerlain more. Dior gets a 9 out of 10 from me. It is not a perfect house, but when you judge the entire catalog instead of naming one or two favorite fragrances, I think Dior is the strongest designer house overall.

They have the second or first best 80s scent in my mind which is Fahrenheit. Sauvage one of the most popular scents ever and Dior Homme Sport is beyond great. I’m just speaking on what I have. They have a case for top 5 house but I could go back and forth all day between like 5 houses lol.
SOTD- YSL Y EDP
This is another one along with the LeMales, ADGs, MYSLF and Eros Energy that I wear to much of. The Blue King.

Can never go wrong with this one a complement magnet, Takes the EDT and buttons it up some. A classic fresh and sweet. I’d say wearable anytime anywhere.

Acqua di Giò Profondo Giorgio Armani
Ok....so nothing particularly attention grabbing or unique - but, I still really like this one when I feel like wearing something that projects optimism - the classic combination of aquatic and citrus - this scent just puts me in a more positive frame of mind. Feels like the right thing to grab and spray as the weather starts to (gradually!) warm-up. I especially like the hint of lavender that starts to peek through on the dry-down.

It’s great. I have the EDP, which is just the 2024 bottle change. I think they’re very similar.
