And as I travel another day through HappyLand, I arrive at Moebius. As described by it's creator, it has lemon, lime, and grapefruit at the top. In the mid comes geranium, jasmine, and rum. In the base lies sandalwood, patchouli, and vetiver. Moebius doesn’t open citrus-heavy the way the note pyramid suggests. What I get at the opening instead is light citrus and a soft, rounded sweetness, not sugary, not fruity, just enough to ease you into the heart. The heart leads to florals enhanced by rum, without ever getting rum boozy. The rum stays supportive and quiet, rather than announcing itself. It gives the fragrance a clean, barbershop-like brightness that smooths out the opening and keeps it feeling well combined. The dry-down leans into the woods. Sandalwood brings warm smoothness, vetiver adds clean earthiness, and patchouli stays subtle in the background. By the time it settles, Moebius feels like a refined barbershop scent with a floral polish, familiar and masculine, with a soft with a sweetness that makes it easier to wear. With moderate projection for about four hours, and a full day's wear, it will finish as a skin scent. Like others in the house, a single spray or two is all that will be needed to awaken it.
